Invghost, yes it is 2.0, but from GE body, so hp is 160. KFZE from lantis will be 170hp.
My 'educated' guess would be that the tuning is different. The GE has a much heavier body compared to the Lantis and therefore would need more torque. So Mazda tuned the engine as such that there will be more torque available all over at the expense of some top end power.invisibleghost said:wat is the diff?? both v6 2l.

So how close is my answer?

Good project.
By the way, how much did u pay for the engine ?
And, one more question, do you have any idea which brand supply brake pads for KFZE in Malaysia ?
Appreciate your help.
mx3 said:I agree. The KFZE on the Lantis actually was tuned by Posche, and the air flow sensor uses MAF part# B6BF (hot wire type). The KFZE on GE body uses VAF (JE50). This type of air flow sensor is quite restrictive (moving cone), but produce better torque at low RPM due to faster air velocity. I hope my theory make sense. The ECU is also different. Not sure what else is different...
mx3 said:kfze, I am not sure how much the owner pay for the GE h/c, but I think it is less than 3K. Lantis hc will be cheaper I think. About the lantis v6 brake pad, you could buy metal king. This is what I use on my GE as I have converted it to Lantis V6 disc and caliper (Lantis v6 front slightly bigger than GE front disc). Bought the pad from a shop in Kajang for $130. Let me know if you need more info.
Rgds,
