You familiar with Taman Tun ? It's near the Pizza Hut and Maxis. head towards the pasar car park.

Near Pizza hut and maxis ?? is it a shop house or just a stall by the side of the road ??

faisal,
mind pm me your number ? if i'm coming and get lost at least there's someone i can call .. though i doubt missing a few R3 parked is quite hard .. maybe i just get down and stare long enough at the car one of the owner might approach me with a baseball bat thinking i wanna steal the car

Was nice to meet all of you again, and the new faces - yolk, canken too - and dude in Car. No24!

Canken, love the Putra, thanks for the ride. Real nice. Just sort out the stuck spark plug and you'll be on the way! No need to do too much with the car already, just optimise, maintain and keep it efficient! :)

Looking forward to a Sunday drive or track day with you fellas!

prozac,

Thanks for the adrenalin ride back! Was nice. There's another twisty back road to Pusat Bandar which I can show you next time. Slower but nice and blind. :D *grin*

aikss what did i miss ???

Tssk tssk....hang all of them by the balls!!!
You left early ma! Hehehe. Prozac wanted a little fun and since we live like one block from each other, I tagged along despite needing to pee badly! :) Was short, quite fast but fun. My SR3 was a bit understeery, I think due to my tyre pressure. Was trying out 240kpA front + 220kpA rear. Slightly floaty. Will bring it down a notch and see what happens.

Gonna pay a visit to Revo to do my alignment and get some stuff installed. Alignment's a bit off at the moment.

Have a good weekend fellas!

Hi Faisal,

Can i know what time is the event in Sepang again (pardon my ignorance).

After clocking 400km, i'd like to highlight the following:

Alignment abit off
Full-bodykit not properly fitted
Dashboard rattling
Car bodysqueaking
Speedometer discoloring and rattling
Brake pedal is crooked
Back seat is bent
Car boot is not aligned
Gear change not accurate (slipping)
Clutch slipping
Glove compartment not aligned

Just wondering if these problem can be rectified? And my RPM goes up unusually fast....end up driving 3th gear even when travelling at 40kph. Whats the normal RPM range? Mine keeps going above 4000rpm and it's very loud.

Please enlighten.
Shaun,

What number series are you? Sounds like a long list of problems. The exterior squeaks are unusual, but you can get them rectified at your first service. The stiff gear change is due to the fact that its still new and needs some time to run in. Will be much smoother/slicker after first service.

List down all these problems when you send your car in for first service. Also get in contact with Faisal to assist, to make sure all these problems are rectified. The service centre can be a pain at times, as experienced by a few of us.

Your rpm problem is unusual. Car should idle at around 800-900rpm. Get that checked out quickly.

Btw, got my alignment done at http://www.revolutionworks.com/. The alignment of my SR3 was definitely off - veering to the right. Sam from Revo also found that car shook from speeds 120km/h and above. I got some new heavy duty camber bolts installed, as well as lock nuts for the Advanti wheels. Alignment is nice and tight now, but steering not aligned properly. Slightly 'senget' to the left. Need to return and readjust.

Yummy VR4 twinpots which were later installed in a 4G93T-powered SGTi, owned by Desmond

BTW, bumped into another SR3 for the first time, at the Ampang elevated highway. IT was Car. #24. I flashed and as I drove pass, I waved :)

Hi Crash,

My series is #18. I keep engaging in the wrong gear. Each time i tried to go 1st gear it slips to the 3rd. And my rpm goes up very fast, therefore very difficult to enjoy slow drive. When 1st gear the rpm goes up to 4000 in like 3 seconds, what is wrong?
Could be your ignition timing gone haywire. Please quickly bring it to a service centre to check out. Or contact Faisal and see if he can assist with an R3 engineer/mechanic.
