Pagani's are great, they look really good, they go really fast, basically it's almost the best darn hypercar money can buy, and in that lays the problem. With all that exotica, comes a stratospheric price tag as well, making it out of reach even for some of the filthy rich.
But that's about to change, according to company founder Horacio Pagani, a new V8-engined Pagani could soon enter development. Speaking to EVO UK, Pagani said he would like to see his firm build a lightweight car smaller than the Zonda.
The new Pagani will cost half as much as the million-euro Zonda and if built, could potentially hit the market in 2015 with production levels set to about 500 units annually, compared to the current 40 Zonda's.
Pagani also stated that the new car's looks could be based on the company's new C9, set for launch later this year. Just for the record the C9 uses the 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine from AMG, and comes with a €900,000 price tag.
