6mins 47secs around the Nurburgring, that's no joke considering the Pagani Zonda R is one of only a few cars to have ever done a lap in under seven seconds around the Green Hell. And Pagani knows how much that is worth because now we have a relentless onslaught of videos, pictures and more videos.
Pagani Automobili S.p.A has just released this new three min video featuring Argentinian founder of the Italian powerhouse and a short interview with driver Marc Basseng who piloted the car when it took the record.
"The laptime of 6:47 that we have obtained with reasonable ease here at the Nürburgring is a confirmation of the skilled work behind every Pagani vehicle," the auto executive said in a new short film released by his company.
The new Pagani Zonda R is a new €1.5 million track-only hypercar. It's powered by a 740hp, 6-liter, V12 powerplant that delivers an astonishing 710Nm of torque that takes the car up to 100km/h in under 2.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 351km/h. If that's not fast enough for you, fly a fighter jet but good luck with that.
