Newbie Setup Need Advise - Amp/Subwoofer/Components

Hi, planning to install some add-ons to my wira sedan soon. Please advise~

Current setup:
Sony CDX MP30 HU
passive crossover
tweeters
RA mid speakers
stock rear speaker

What to be installed:
Epsilon 2-channel amplifier
Sony Xplod 10" Subwoofer with customized wooden box

Questions:
1. Do I need a pre-amp?
2. If I do not install the subwoofer, can I install the amp for my front components? Will it enhance any better than my current setup?

1 - Cant find the details of your HU, sorry dunno ifyou have enuff pre outs. But I thinkm ore than likely you would need the pre - amp.

2 - Yes you can use the amp for you components, your comps should sound clearer with the added juice. You can also crank up the volume more with getting distortion...

Hope this helps.

Hmm.. it does mentions that you HU has 2 preouts.

So, might not need a pre-amp. However, does your amp have a LPF/HPF setting so that it can send the proper signal to your sub or components (depends on your choice)?

What would be nice is, since you already have the subwoofer, why not just use the amp to power it? Once you got more money to spend, you can then get an amp for your components.

yes, I plan to install the amp for the woofer. but in case I am not installing the woofer, I plan to install the amp just for my front components. Just like to know if it'll be a good idea to do so without installing the woofer first.
