Good DIY!
IMHO it would look better with the console + aircon vents etc accented in silver or some other colour. That yellow was nice too...
agree...silver can be nice too...at the moment i would like to stick with black first, maybe next project will do...heheh

Very nice work!!!
How about the digital controller and air cond blower?
Did u change all the wirings too?
the digital aircon was done 3 yrs back, there was no wiring done, just took out the socket... :)

thanks for the question and comments...maybe some improvement ideas would be great :D

thanks....
i use the FLAT BLACK color...don't use the BLACK color, it will be reflective and wont look as real... :)

theres 2 screws...
on the right side, use(+) screwdriver, 1 pc
on the left side, use 10mm socket to take out a bolt under the speaker(open the speaker cover 1st, 2 screw underneath(+) using screwdriver), hope this helps :)

by the way, what is 'syling'??

just normal el-cheapo spray RM5/can....heheh cheapskate me!! :P
u can use those vinyl/leather spray which is a bit expensive, but i dunno how the result will be...maybe better :)

well...this pic will be better to show u..

the red circled area is where the screws r hiding(8pcs)...all r 10mm bolt, it would be better to use the socket with an extension, rather than normal spana bcoz of lack of space and difficult to reach...sigh :) if u hv the ratchet type of spana would be easier...hope this helps

good job mate .. i notice there is a superlon look alike insulation behind the dash board. is there by default or u installed it before ?

btw, dont u think the RM5 can spray will peel off easily ?

its there by default(std factory fitted)...but still the engine noise is not that insulated...additional insulation in the engine bay would be nice..hehehh B)
maybe 'ninja_iga' can offer me special price heheh... :P

hehe..this is something u have to experiment urself...i had my gear console sprayed the same method 3 yrs back, and i noticed, surfaces that prone to contact, either ur shoes, legs, hand etc..will have scratches which will peel off the paint after sometime...however the hidden surfaces, can maintain the color without any peeling...hmm

did u found xtra screws laying around or not after u finish :P

heheh..took me sometime rearrange the screws, from past DIY project i learnt that u need to group every screws from each part dismantled at one place...no mixing screws around or u'll end up having extras :o ...huhuhu

for this particular project i actually had to take a few screws and threads from the proton dashboard, so i can say its 99.99% all screwed up nicely heheh :P

wow.. nice!!!!!!!!!!
great job!!!

next time when i wan to take off the dashboard for some DIY
can ask your help? :D

anyway .....
saw the lancer dashboard and your wira one different size one...
how u manage to get it into your wira?
any tips?
