Hi everyone, I plan to change timing belt and gear oil for my CF4 sir. What is in the timing belt kit, and where can I get genuine parts? How about the gear oil? I heard the gearbox is sensitive. Which oil is suitable for sir auto? Thanks yet again :)

atf z1 honda, thats the gearbox oil i used for the sir.. recommended change is at 20000km.. but i used to change mine every 15k km..

yes.. or you could also maintain your car at my friends workshop.. he has been doing cf4's a lot and know where to get the parts... he also has diagnostic tools to check error codes from our obd2...

guys....can anyone tell me how to take care Sir cf4 tiptronic gearbox?is it enuf just to change the atf oil?

well usually, i just change the atf at every 15k km... but i flush the gearbox at every 45k km... i either flush with the machine or pour out old oil, then put in new atf z1. then drive for about 50km then go back pour out then put in new atfz1 again... fuhhhh.. after that gear changes more smooth and my wallet also flat and smooth...

Guys, wanna ask something...

Yesterday i drove my car to taiping....so...full load 5 ppl in the car....while cruising ar....at constant speed...the car seems like jerking la.....what's the problem ?

Besides, when coming back from taiping....on the winding roads after the tunnel....i tried D3 to hold gear ar......it downshifted to 3rd gear...all the way down....but it seems it wanted to shift to 4th gear. Weird......anyone experienced this b4 ? I thought it suppose to stick to 3rd gear rite ?

if remember correctly, last time when i merembat with 3 gear the gear will still shift into 4th at maximum rpm.. but if i use the tiptronic and change into 3rd, it will not shift even until revcut... try to change your atf and see...

I've juz sent the car to my mechanic and told him the story....he said might be the program it uses....remember the car which got a feature of going uphill and downhill where it will automatically pull the car whenever it senses the different altitude ? He said maybe that kick in ! Dunno......atf changed last 10,000km service......still got 10,000km to go b4 next flush ! I never change ATF...hehehe...i juz flushed it all times ~

Regarding the jerking...he said maybe spark plugs nearing it's life.....sending car for services next wednesday...maybe.....

my darling fairy...my boo having a probs with suspension n steering...the steering feels like got some free gap when im steer it to left n rite..in easy word to say...the response is quite late when i steer it left or rite...

the suspension still gud but got some noise at front n back..bro bien said maybe it comes from bearing..but anyhow i've sent it to bien pomen to check it out..

im going to korea for a month or two doing some inspection in samsung heavy engineering..when i came here then i know samsung oso producing their own car heheh..the design..well not bad..

i will come to kl to do some more updating for my boo after i gets back from korea..perhaps u not bz at that time..

Ali, your car already sent to shop. Things needed to do:

1) change steering rack. current rack rosak/bengkok. The self centering torque rod is not working, hence the 'woolly' feeling of the steering, which explains why you need to keep on correcting the steering. mana rack yang beli kat Ah Hock dulu?

2) rear wheel bearings shot.

3) gearbox needs servicing, shift shock teruk sangat.

4) you said you wanted to change timing belt.

my steering rack is at kaytee...nevermind that...leave the steering rack...i'll do it in tganu...

one more thing ask the pomen how much the cost for front & rear adjustable arms..

i dun laa bro...i thought abt that but my boo said...rehab?noo,,,no,,,noo,,,,

there was one party who used my boo n out of responsibility for maintenance...i can say nothing n can do nothing....

but maybe after this i will use dragonball technology which can transform my boo to small capsule..haha
