looking for new car

hi

in regards to my earlier posting at the Honda Forum, located here

i'm kinda wondering what cars i can get for the budget of RM50k - RM70k ?

this new car will be driven by me.. prefer a sportier ride too ;)

um.. problem is.. the car involved in the accident is my EK4 doors with 96spec + front and rear lips.. :(

i don't want to sound biased, but i'm quite reluctant to go for a proton car although i've thought about the Waja.. perhaps some sound advice why i should consider this car?

I need a reliable car, something like the Honda that requires very little need of maintenance from the normal oil, filter changes..

the reason i'm afraid to consider proton is the safety involved and the probability of it failing on me :unsure:

waja is better than all the others prtong...the major porb is the power window..absorber..etc

got airbag also...=)
but when i was working in a workshop(repairing accident car)
some of the waja cought in accident n i find tat some off em the air bag didnt pop out...

yeah, i've been into my friend's waja a couple of times.. find it quite comfortable altho with some rather odd interior.. i heard about the issues you mentioned, if i'll be spending my time going to workshops every now and then to get these matters settled.. i'm not that confident of putting my efforts on it :(

sigh, my dad said my civic bad luck wei.. accident 3 major times (front this time, side once, rear once) and 1 minor (front).. what can i say? ABS faulty also the Honda Service Centre can't get it resolved.. but this time it's my elder sister's mistake la.. for not paying attention..

front...side..2...head lamp...buang until hit divider...drive shaft broken..2 new eagle F1 tyre burst....ehehhe

wat about toyota car?very cun 1 wor...even old seg the interior still quiet like new...my wira making so much of noise edi even new 1 i think also same

i dunno how much i can pursuade my dad to get 2nd hand cars..
btw, how about the financing thingy.. interests for 2nd hand cars higher than getting new cars? don't want to burden my dad too much over my greed :)

wah... you accident until liddat.. my charade i drive last time.. rear tires locked up, spin 180degrees.. (hit divider and spun..) facing on coming traffic -.-
bonnet, headlights, bumper.. gone gone gone.. =.=

i'm having thoughts of the KIA Rio.. the 4 door hatchback lookey car.. any comments? :)

even my wira sohc 4g15 also can beat kia dohc 1.5 sephia..
tats y i change 2 wira from kia sephia...the gearbox is problematic...very underpower...but sure the quality is better than proton a lot...

wat about Chevy?

wouldn't the chevrolet range exceeds my current budget?

any ideas about financing for 2nd hand cars and new cars? the interests..

Relaunched Putra? Definately sporty and fits your budget. But it's a Proton and only 2 doors. Plus your dad probably won't like the idea that it's got no ABS and airbags.

Anyway, for your criteria, you can't go wrong with a Vios. It's fast enough, good quality, relatively safe and doesn't look like crap. ;)
