My iswara is lately have been difficult to start,

When I crank it will come out "cik cik cik cik" sound many times but sometimes the engine died sometimes it can start.

The simplest way to make the ignition easier was to step on the old pedal half way then start cranking the engine, this way the "cik cik" will be less and the engine start faster.

But once I start the car it can drive smoothly.

I bring it to the shop that they change the car battery few month back when car battery dead and they check the pully for water pump, alternator position and found nothing wrong with it.

Kindly advise what might have gone wrong.

Thanks

could be the starter if there is a click click sound.

not exactly "click clik", it can ignite the engine, but the ignition will keep draging : ehh.. ehh.. eehh" until enough umph for the engine to run without cranking anymore.

I suspect it is alternator, but I cannot confirm, cause the shop use volt meter connect to my car battery and start the engine, the volt meter reading show when the engine is running is slightly in the green zone, means it on the lower end of the scale nearly reach the "weak" but the battery is new so they do the testing for me for free.

u could test it yourself, once u get the car started...disconnect the + & - battery terminal...
if the engine still runs like normal then the alternator is fine......
so wat u mean can crank but engine wont fire la....

if not mistaken, it's the power deliver to your starter is insufficient.
go talk to your mechanic, they should be able to install a relay to bypass the circuit and direct thru the battery.

also check your spark plugs, take out your spark plugs, check whether its very dirty or damage.. last few days i take out my lmst spark plug and found that very dirty and after cleanup/change new spark plug, the car start easily instead of eh ehh ehhhh ehhhhhh =)
