Guys
i have a hu with only 1 pre-out.
i had installed a subwoofer through it
is it possible to add an amplifier to the other speaker(frnt, rear) without changing the hu

if can how to do it?
tq

you need a pre-amp then with the proper outputs (front, mid, rear, sub) you can easily place ur RCS's in accordance to the pre-amp...btw good pre-amps are hard to come by these days with newer players eliminating the use of it undoubtedly due to sound quality..i suggest u get a new player with factory ready front mid rear and sub so u can connect ur amp directly to it...happy fixing!

hi,
does ur HU have speakers FR,FL,RR & RL??
if yes... yes it's possible.
but you need a Preamp that can step down all your speaker-out (from HU) become pre-out.

Then apply the amps for that configuration.... walla!!!

much easier to get electronic crossover, from one pair rca input u can get 2 or 3 pairs output. also less noise in system compared to pre-amp, especially if u want to use high level input (speaker wire).

a small box with terminals right??
actually DIY with few power resistors and capacitors may work,
but also may cause distortion if didn't do properly.

of course it has those output.
So, a pre amp can do that ar?
I dont know that.

but it seem easier to use an electronic crossover

About the diy one?what is it actually?
diy a crossover,pre-amp or what?

it's more like DIY step down to pre-out.
it's uses a pair of power resistors and a pair of capacitor for each speaker out.
it's not a crossover or a pre-amp.
If you study E&E; it's a voltage divider. it'll use resistance ratio to compare with voltage input/output ratio.
below is an example circuit:

just an addition to that recommended to add a 10uF/22uF 30V caps to "output" ==> for protection.
