Hi Guys,

I really need your advice to choose rims.
At the moment a few set in my mind but unable to choose.
All of it are 2nd hand item.

1. Advance RS : 17inch, 8.5JJ, Offset +31, PCD 5 x 114.3
Colour: Gold
Condition: Good as quoted by seller
Seller: Local
Delivery: Approximately 4 days.

2. TE37: 17inch, 8.5JJ, Offset +30, PCD 5 x 114.3
Colour: white
Condition: Unknown - just refer to picture from Yahoo Auction.
From Yahoo Japan but buy trough local agent.
Any comment for this or someone might left any doubt/ideas.
Delivery: Approximately 1 month +.

Both rims are in my budget range.
Anyone can give comparison for both rims/or suggestion.
My body colour is GunMetal Grey

Thanks in advance...

I like TE37 very much, but in order to get the second hand unit seems hard at this moment.
The only option just the Advance RS.

Buying an item from Yahoo Japan Auction kinda risky for me.
I unable to check the condition of it. Just refer to the provided picture.
Furthermore, I have to liaise with 3rd parties...

Now have to wait...

Sample on TME that I found on the net.....

ealt,

Wah!!!... who's car is that? MLOC member some more.
Want to sell the rim ka?

TE37 kinda old school quoted by some but due to durability the reason of choosing it.
But I have to be careful due to lots of imitation nowadays.

Advan RS for me anytime, Pang Yau. TE37 is cool but risky to me. These performance rims tend to crack easily.

Advans are cast alloy whereas VR are forged alloy. Forged gives better strength, durability and of course, show-power:proud:. Google up the difference. Majority of GT race cars use VR.

And no, TE37's don't crack unless you plan to drive into a tree.

I'm not saying Advans are bad, I've used them before but the factory paint quality is relatively bad and thin. It chips off very very easily, especially if you drive on highways often.

Since road condition in my place & some time going off road.
I assume Volk Racing suitbale for my use.
Getting new unit cost me BOMB... or else just sit quiet use the stock rims.

in the picture, that advan rs look like better condition then the te37, te37 u need agressive offset only will look nice on evo. btw, i agree with JayDM advan rims paint job not so good, very thin, and always chip off....

Guys need your help/advise,

Just want to clarify, are the Offset+35 & 8.0JJ can clear the Brembo Caliper?
I need an advise...

Thanks in advance

Hi guys I'm looking an answer urgently.

Can I use the original lug & lock nuts from EVO8 to tighten the TE37 rims?
If can't use what are the suitable size to be? Please advise.
Hopefully anybody having an info please share...

Thanks in advance
