How to test double din player at halfcut to make sure the player is in good condition? Because, the player dont have warranty. So, i want to make sure that is player can work.

Plug + and - to a car battery, plug the remote to the + side of the battery, the Hu will now be able to be switched on and then you can test all the functions, screen, read CD's, tapes, MD's, EQ, etc...

Get a cheap speaker to plug to the Hu outputs to see the effects of the EQ or whateevr functions are in the player.

Remember to eject everythign before sutting off the power.

Which brand of HU?

What's the model?

Do you know the year of production of the HU?

Try to look in the net as there should be some standard wire colours for different HU brand.

many brand like Kenwood, JVC, Panasonic, Carrozeria and more. and i want to try many HU at Halfcut.

Dont have standard wiring ka?

Different brand has different standard wire colours.

Normally, it will be red for +ve and black for -ve. But, for the memory or constant 12V, the colour might be different.

I might have for pioneer. But I need to look in my PC first :)

usually got sticker on the body of the HU to explain the colour code of the wires...

standard colours for HU would be:-

positive = red
ground = black

as for speakers, look for pairs of colour but 1 would have black line, the other would not have black line (eg. 2 grey wires, 1 grey wire has got a black line on it, the other grey wire no black like).

After pairing up all these, u would still have a few remaining wires which would be for:-

1. Accessory wire (positive only when the key is turned)
2. Remote wire (for amp, not all models have this), when HU on, positive signal
3. Power antenna (for those antenna with motor), when radio on, Positive signal
4. Other etc wires like handbrake signal etc...

hope this helps...
