when should you change your car's battery? some people said once every 1 and a half year and some people said 2 years...how do we know when is the right time to change battery? i'd lots of nasty experience in which the battery died suddenly at the wrong place at the wrong time...please help guys...

Keep a battery tester around. Check every month. If voltage falls below 12V, it's time for replacement.

get yourself a volt meter.

if your battery die in sudden, you may need to take a look at your alternator.

if you go through one of the thread started by me, you found that some even claim that their battery run fine for more than 24 months.

My E32's batt is already 5 years old... n still alive. I think know why... it is located under the rear seat where it is cooler n completely protected from the elements.

about one an a half to two years change once.. de best way to notice if ur car battery is weak or not is turning on de headlight brightness.. if it dims tat means de battery has no enough power oredi.. cheers!

Yup! 5 years... still using the 1st gen MF batt - price tag = RM 450 (AC Delco).

Speaking of voltmeter, I just constructed one from a hobby kit using 10 row of LEDs. Will install it tmw.
