But the tire changed before, if not mistaken should be either 215/45/17 or 215/50/17.
Next change upgrade to 225/45/17.![]()

215/45R17 is too small, even 225/45R17. Have to be 215/55R17 or 225/50R17....![]()
215/55/17 is a bit too big/thick already. 225/50/17 or 245/45/17 are the perfect sizes for 17' in Mark X.
But 215/55R17 is standard Camry tyre size woh! My friend using.....![]()
Yes but 215/55/17 is slightly bigger compared to std Mark X size while the 215 foot print is just a bit too narrow for Mark X. Additionally the sidewall looks too thick so not nice and handling is already too soft/a bit wobbly.
225/50/17 is just nice while 245/45 is a bit smaller in diameter but the wide foot print is very good for grip, and looks good on lowered cars.![]()
255/40/18 look nicer... Time to change rim.![]()

I use to have 225/40/18 but this V12 Evo2 i took 235/40/18.....Is even nicer....Looks bigger too although same profile....![]()
Yes of course, 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 front on 18x8jj and 255/40/18 rear on 18x9jj is perfect. But you'd need lightweight rims to keep the weight down.
235/40 is of course bigger, coz the sidewall is really taller/thicker:
225/40 = 22.5cm x 40% = 9 cm
235/40= 23.5cm x 40% = 9.4 cm
Profile is just aspect ratio to the width, not an absolute fixed number.
I think my stock rim can only fit 225/45/17 max.
Will use same size so can do tire rotation.

shit.
You guys need to all look away, don't reply here.. shoo shoo. The more people that buy this tyre the more expensive it'll start to get. Shoo shoo. I wanna change also.![]()
I remember the days of the Falken ZE912. When it first came out, no one wants to try, but as the feedback slowly came in and it had more positive than negative, I was recommending it until it sold so well it was short of stock....hahhahhaha
Then lately they probably changed the compound as many of the previous sizes with traction AA was changed to A only and then negative feedback started coming in, then no one wants it anymore. Anyway now they have the ZE-914 already.....
By the way, since cheap now, get it fast, sell off your Nexen......l![]()

I'm curious how much I can sell the Nexxen for. And I'm looking to downsize my rims. 16" with higher profile. What do you think?
Why cannot??? Stock Camry rims I think is at least 17x7jj. 225/50/17 can still fit for that rim size and certainly can still fit nicely into Mark X fenders. I'm using that tire size already so I know. 225/45/17 is just too small and will not look as nice as the fender gap will be huge (bigger by >1 cm). Unless you want to lower your car a lot with adjustables.
