Fuel Hike Protest in Ipoh

The fact is, that should the need arise, i suspect that they may call for an emergency election, due to the current state of unrest.

Mark my words, Anwar may be Prime Minister by this year.

"The rebates are only for one year... meaning the next year no more rebate."

someone came to my place and told me this.
It's soooo amusing

till march 2009 only. they dont said evry year will give rebate. they playing with words.

Those rebates don't do any difference. We're still paying ski high prices for cars and especially local cars, we're paying up to outer space prices for no-quality local cars.
What's happening immediately now is... food prices have already started the price hike too. I've heard people who personally told me that they pay an extra RM0.20 for 1 piece of roti canai kosong. Yahoo. FTG. Yahoo. Someone ought to just blow up the parliament.

Who or which party become the gov also useless. The world market price is high and effected all countries. Put Anwar on top, will expected either 1 thing will happen, use excuses to drag until people used to it, or use future money to press down the price now, let the future generation pay the price in future.

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

This sounded like part of the US Constitution ....

Hmmm ... Not bad too, since the G love to compare us with the US (in progress and fuel, now) ... Yeah, let us bear arms to protect against tyranny not so much on the G yet, but those f**kin' REMPITs !!!

what the Gov should have done , was in the RIGHT order:

1) gradually increase toll rate (30% toll increase would equal to RM7bil rev for Gov)

2) 15 % increase in Civil servants salary (Private sector will follow suit to stay competitive)

3) and gradually reduce the fuel subsidy.

An increase in toll rate would benefit the poor and not the rich , since the poor use toll-free roads anyway.

A slight increase in the private sector's renumeration scheme would over-all increase the quality of work and productivity nationwide (snowball effect)

and a gradual reduction of the fuel subsidy to commensurate with the increase of salary would reduce alot of the dissatisfaction voiced by the populace.

point is, the Government could have handled the subsidy in so many ways.

I suspect the sudden jump in local fuel price would be anological to pulling out a band-aid quickly, instead of pro-longing the inevitable suffering.

good idea. it shows that our leader that is lead by parti Bodoh Negara is really bodoh. fuck lah should be ketua kampong only. he dont deserve to be PM. they all should be rotten to death!! it will happen if they still in power till next year.

Anyone heard the Pahang MB so lansi, say the ministers allowance cut was only 10% that he had asked his state members to cut 30% instead.

Then he announced some calculation saying 10% of his allowance only sum up to RM500, and his members were like RM150. Therefore they are being "generous" to offer 30% cut instead.

Now imagine his original allowance per month is RM5000, and his members RM1500. That is just allowance not even included on his basics. How much does these idiots really make each month????????

Correct me if I am wrong ...

Pahang MB? Oh..A*nan Yaak*b ma. Pahang ppl all knew tis guy...a damn 100% BLOODY RACIST. He is an anti-chinese & indian
