Yep, got E7 fren using Ralliart ECU... Quite ok... De car got filter, exhuast n some other basic thingy... Y ah? u thinking of getting it for ur Evo IX??? :_:

Aiyah... me thinking of a lot of things.. this and thats... whatever that is not broken needs to be fixed or replaced...the theory is that the car don't go faster because it was broken before.. most ppls make their car go faster, more stable, efficient not from fixing something but rather from changing something that is not broken or adding something that was not there before!!! hahaaa...

What abt urself? Trying any new thing(s)? Pretty frustrated as there r stil no sport cams launch for our IX from HKS, Jun, Tomei n others over here...

Hahaha... Not 18" le... Jus 17", its better for performance n less headache too... Am considering Gold or Gun Metal... As for de exhuast, i oredi bought de HKS HiPower exhuast... Jus tht belum instal la... LoLzzzz... I think i bought it for more than 3 mths liao... Hahaha... What abt u? What brand u considering? If u luv titanium, Trust r de most cost efficient 1 at de moment...

the exhaust, i have asking many thing in MEOC forum as well as Golfer give me some infor at there. first in my mind is the silent hi-power, then my friend intro the Trust Power Extreme II for me, silent type also. then come in the titanium Trust TI.
what i prefer is the silent type exhuast. so now i mostly will go for silent hi-power. with the Trust titanium price i can get the front pipe together for hi-power lo...
u get the hi power 409 or silent hi power? how much u get ah? will get some advise from my tuner which piping size i should get that hipower 75mm, trust titanium 70mm and trust PE II 80mm.

am using trust power extreme titanium, very nice sound....inside mostly cant hear anythin..deep sound...after decat only got bits of sound coming out..u might consider bout it. Hi power also nice...but not as light as PE ti. my whole exhaust one hand can carry lo..hahahahaah..

the titanium really light, about 6kg only. which model u get?. as i know got 2 type titanium, TI is soft type, TI-R is loud one, its true? may i know how much its cost u? with the straight pipe (replace the cat) too? now i still finding the exhuast suit my budget...hehehehe....

mine is the soft type with jasma approved. it is from the middle till the end of the exhaust. the straight pipe i customed made it. Cut cost ma..hahahaha. i bought at N1 bout 3.9k bout 8 months back. It might be cheaper now...i dunno.. you can try to ask them. :)

Hi to all EVO gurus out there! I'm a newbie here and wish to gather as much knowledge as well as frens here.

I used to own a 2003 Subaru WRX STi and am planning to purchase a 2005 EVO IX.

The thing is that i need to get the car soon, as i don't have a ride at the moment.

I've spotted a few over the last few days and only 1 looks good enough for me to put my booking money down. Interior, body, undercarriage and engine seems to be in very good condition comparatively to others i've seen. Test driven and it seems fine.

THe thing is, i'm new to evos and was wondering if there is anything specific i need to look out for on an evo ix before i make the downpayment. i.e. any particular areas on the evo ix that i need to check for any possible future problems. i.e. leaks in any areas, funny noises, tranny irregularities, idling, etc. Anything that i need to look out for during my final visit and test drive.

More alarmingly, i've been told that the stock turbo on the evo ix has the tendency of breaking down. Is this true and which model of evo ix or year of manufacture? I think mine is a JDM GSR 6-speeder version and has a 260km/h limit on the speedo. Is there such a thing as JDM, USDM and EDM models for EVOs like scoobies? If so what are the differences?

Also, want to know, if the stock turbo is going to be a problem - what should i do to overcome this. I know changing to aftermarket turbo is an option - but what else can i do to save the current stock turbo? if changing the turbo is the only option, which model should i go for and how much would it cost new/used? Heard of many evos running with a 3076 turbo. What is the market price for this? Apart from that what else do i need to do on an ix for immediate reliability and power without going into second stage mods like engine internals and bigger turbo. I mean like for a scoobie - oil changes all round, walbro fuel pump, fuel regulator, exhaust, intake and an ECU retune gets me 320whp/420Nm on stock turbo/engine. Is this the same for the evo ix and what kind of whp/torque can i expect to get with these stage 1 mods ? also heard that need to change cams for all previous evos to overcome lag - does this also apply for the ix?

which recond shop u buying bro..?? basically year2005 evo 9 are all with magnesium turbo.. from year 2006 they change to the old e8mr turbo .. meaning from magnesium back to titanium.. actually magnesium give u more power.. bcoz the spool came faster and the respon is faster.. but they kaput faster...... so they know the problem from year 2006 they change to titanium back.... to save ur turbo... the best is u don touch any single thing in ur car.. wakkaka.... my friend onli blow his turbo after u go to sepang for 2 and a half hour non stop... then onli his turbo blow.. his is a really really really stock car.. onli cut the speed limiter.. i have a friend who change downpipe + exhaust.. his turbo kaput in 2 weeks... wakkaka.. so is all on ur luck bro...

if u talking mod.. with the such things on scoobie u can achieve that on a evo 9 .. around that same power and around that same torque.. but take care of ur turbo.. .. 3076 kit cost u about 15-20k... ....
