Evo 7.5 GTA

to see how much the usage of the car, try to check the manufactured date of the tyre, see how old the tyre is, compared to how much tread left.

but not 100% accurate coz the owner could have bought set of used tyres.

Hey guys, just came back from checking out that black GTA again. I got a mechanic to go with me the last time to check her out and he gave me the "thumbs up" after inspecting her.

But this time, when I started the car from a cold start, I noticed that the engine warning light didn't come on at all. All the other warning lights came on and then went off (like normal), but not the engine warning light. When I asked the salesman about it, he didn't really have an answer for me. Is this a common thing or do you think the previous owner was trying to hide something by disconnecting the engine warning light? Should I be worried about something like this cuz truth be told, this is bothering me! But when I took her out for a test drive and such, everything sounded and seemed to be ok....no problems that I could sense, nor any that the mechanic could sense either. I'm really serious about buying this car, but now, I'm very wary and suspicious. Need some advice and help from some of you gurus!

Secondly, after taking it for a short test drive, I parked it and then turned the car off. I looked under the car and noticed something dripping down to form a puddle. Again, I asked the salesman and he said that it was just water from the a/c. The drip was happening right beside the front, driver-side wheel. Was this really water from the a/c or something else?

Ok, guys, seriously need your input and advice on this one. Thanks again fellas and hope to hear from you guys soon!

Usually the dripping is A/C water aircond so its normal except if spotted black oil dripping you have to be extra alert about that.

Maybe there is a faulty on engine check light but this can be rectify.

Engine light should always come on prior starting and disappear when engine starts...no excuse. The check engine light in ur case is intentionally disconnected to hide an existing fault. If the previous owner or car dealer have not rectify the fault till now that means repair is most likely goin to be expensive. Move on..they r better cars out there. U just hv to be patient & wait till the next worthy GT-A comes along. Its ur hard earned money & u dont wanna waste it on a lemon.
