If u hv tht kinda budget n u can get a brand new Ver9 below rm230k, then go fro it... As its de latest models than Evo8... Sure there must hv improvement... Good luck to u... As ori Scooby spool up only after 4,400rpm whereas Evo ard 3,500rpm!!! :_:

Make sure u check on their AP oso... Ask them if they r using d old old AP, so tht de car price can b made cheaper by lots... But when u wanna sell de car tht time... u wil suffer...

STi ver 9 is 2.0L engine whereas if its WRX ver 9. it wil b 2.5L engine most properly...

DD,

Yo bozz, STi JDM is 2.0L whereas Euro or US Spec wil b 2.5L engine... But hp output wise stil de JDM spec better... But for torque wise u r right, de 2.5L r more yummy on tht... Haha... Knowing tht de turbo using in de 2.5L engine for STi is smaller than de 2.0L Jap Spec... Dunno y... Strange!!! But for modding hor, no need to say lo... 2.5L got lotsa potential man.... manyak choices le... Monster Monster man!!! :_:

Get impreza la.......got so many evos already + wajalution + wiralution........in terms of security better impreza........coz engine parts n all less likely to be stolen....impreza parts cannot be "rojak" part to other cars(proton converts)........so not so likely to be stripped for parts.......worst case scenario thief just steal whole car.......can claim insurance then......

i heard, if u wanna mod or if u wanna change something... imprezza performance parts are less in market n price is more expensive...

evo has more options, more spare parts, n cheaper too

speaking purely on performance terms, get the STI 9, especially if comparing stock to stock. from the various best motoring videos i've watched, every version will have performance improvements. for e.g. the IX MR is almost a second faster than the non-MR around Ebisu track! and that's still same version! same case when compare VII to VIII.

but, if u're like me, i have a special place in my heart for an evo. so even if i can afford an STI 9, i'll just try to look around for an E8 MR instead. that if u include preference in the equation lah.
