Hey guys,

I'm looking for an Evo 7.5 GTA. Must be in excellent condition, as I don't want to be buying one that looks nice but is a complete piece of crap! I saw one in Motortrader, but I'd like a few more options. Has anybody seen any for sale? If you have, I'd be interested to know where or even if some members are selling their rides.

Also, I'd like some feedback from any members who own a 7.5. How do they drive? I know a lot of purists say that it's not the same cuz it's an auto....but hey, I'm all about whatever makes driving fun and easy for you! Also, how are the maintenance costs as compared with a manual Evo? Much difference?

Ok, thanks, dudes, and hope to hear from you bros soon! Peace!

hi bruce. first of all welcome to MLOC :) my advice is better you do your own homework about these 7.5 GTA beast by using google and drop by to famous Evo thread evolutionm.net & Mitsubishi Lancer Register and read by yourself about some owner who own GTA :) We got few owner who drive GTA but the monsterrrrroussss one is Aizul (insaniac 7.5) hehehehehe. We at MLOC are glad to assist you on any inquiry. If you need a test drive session contact Allan Ng 012-3030299 on behalf of Dato Mazlin and Mohd Yakup aka Bob (its me!) just say my name :D I think Allan got 1 unit of GTA (maybe?). Cheers :)

Thanks for the welcome, mate! Looking really forward to getting an Evo....kinda living out my dad's dream cuz he's a crazy Mitsu fan!

Thanks for the websites....I'm definitely checking them out.

Is Allen a dealer? Thanks for giving me his name and number....totally nice of you, man! I'll give him a ring and ask him some questions.

Thanks, dude for the warm welcome!!!

Yeah, welcome u to our MLOC forum!!!

As for Evo 7.5 GTA, make sure the auto tranny box oil is change frequently, in order to prolong its life span if u r a heavy right footer!!! Else, i think all other maintaining items r pretty similar to other version of Evos...

Its a great car, as i hv test drove 1 b4!!! Pretty responsive and hv got lotsa potential for modding!!! As usual, when test drive 1 or hunting for 1, make sure the car hv got no funny sound from the engine and chasis!!!

Happy hunting!!!

P/s: Make sure after u get ur car, bring along ur dad as he is a Mitsu lover, am sure he wil enjoy spending some times with us!!! Cheerz!!!

my uncle at sarawak plan to buy mitsu triton this year and ask me to find 22 inch rims huhuhuhuhuhu crazy but yeah any mitsubishi vehicle is fun to drive due to its engine realibility no matter lancer ka evo ka bus ka lori ka mpv ka van ka suma mitsu layannnnn zassssss :P

Thanks again for the welcome, Stormvolution, and for the advice! Yes, I'll definitely make sure the auto tranny box oil is changed frequently.....that's once I've found that "special" one! I'm sure my dad would love meeting you guys and once I hopefully get my ride, he'll have a blast driving her around.....better make sure his heart is strong enough first though, hehehe!!!

Yes, I love Mitsu!!! And can anything be more reliable and mod-proof than the 4G63???!!! Love the Mitsu logo too!

Thanks for the comments, dudes!!!

Oh, that's totally awesome!!! Thanks so much, man, for the heads up and the contact!!! I'm gonna totally go and check it out!!! But first....this may sound strange but how do you actually get to Naza World from the Federal Highway? Where do I have to turn off to get there??? Hey dudes,

Went and checked out those 2 Evo 7.5's in Motortrader.....sweet machines!!!

But I have a total favour to ask of you guys: Can anybody who lives in Cheras (where the White-colored one is; located at Chang Sang Trading, Lot 4523, Batu 4 1/2, Jalan Cheras)) or can anybody who lives near DMG Holdings Sdn Bhd in KL (Wisma Pahlawan, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman) where the black-colored one is, go and just take a quick look to see if both of these Evo's are good and sound?

I'm not exactly an Evo expert, but I did download an Evo check sheet and had it with me when I checked out the cars. If anybody knows the history or either of these machines, that'd be great if you could give a potential Evo owner some insight!

Thanks again, mates!!! Man, I'm glad forums like these exist!!!

I would suggest the best thing for you to do is to get a mechanic experienced with Evos to check the cars out for you. He will be more qualified than most drivers. Get him to test drive also. Of course, such service comes with a fee which you will have to negotiate with the mechanic. Look at it this way: For a small fee, he will look out for potential problems that could cost you thousands in repairs and loss of use.

Hmmm, ok, thanks for the advice, but would you or anyone else be able to recommend such a mechanic? I would have no clue! :hmmmm:

Bruce, just out of curiosity, how much was the 2 evo 7.5s priced?

The white one was priced at RM126k, 2001, ~35000km....only accessories I saw was a turbo timer. The black one was priced at RM133k, 2002, ~112000km, with sunroof, and a lot of accessories (turbo timer, boost gauge, Tein electronically adjustable suspension, etc).

What do you think? Fair prices?

id get the one with the lower mileage and no accessories. prices is standard dealership sticker price lar....but im sure can turun somemore.

35k km is low mileage. good man. maybe driving habits same like a member of this forum who never start his car for 2-3 weeks and then bateri habis kong....

I wouldn't base my final decision on the mileage, as these odometers can be tampered nowadays. Look at the actual condition of the cars.

You can call my mechanic Peter at 0192152701.

Yes, I agree....the odometer can easily be altered now to show a lower mileage.

To my rookie eyes, they both looked pretty good. I did, however, get to very quickly ride in the black one and it felt all right. Whereas the salesman for the white one wants me to put down a deposit first before he'll let me test drive it.

Awesome!!! Thanks, Bernard, for giving me your mechanic's number! I'm gonna definitely give him a call and see if he can go and check out those cars. Thanks for your help, mate!!! :top:
