Correct me if I'm wrong, anybody, but I think halal means that the raw food is prepared according to muslim ways. Not entirely sure but I think it's something of that effect. Of course, that means no pork also ler.

Partially true ... also, any lifestock for food had to be slaughtered with the proper muslim practise .... I think that say a short prayer like "Bismilah" or something prior to bleeding it out .... :hmmmm:

Dunno if it would apply to vegetables too (joke), though I knew a friend (as we could predict his religion) would "Bismilah" prior to opening a bottle of Black Label and THAT would make it ok to drink .... HAHAHAHAHA ...

hahaha if your friend is a real malay, he can't even take liquor or alcohol, ain't it? hahaha About the food, I think the malays have to pray or something like that as part of the procedure to prepare the food. I wonder how many of them actually do it at home.
