Earth Quake in China cause slow internet speed

Guys and gals, I heard from Hitz.fm that an earth quake cause some damage to some under sea cables few days back, that causes slow internet speed in the Asean region.

I didn't see the newspapre for a few days already. Can someone clarify this matter wether its true or not ? cause I'm using broadband in the office and house also very slow, before this was very fast. Could it be the quake ? :shocked:

yes its true.. try this when using ur Internet Explorer.

Its advised to use Australia Proxy! its fast! like normal!

Fast proxy list:

Malaysia

Vietnam's proxy:

Tools - Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings - Proxy Server - (input the IP & Port) - bypass proxy server for local addresses (tick it) -OK - Apply - close!

depends on which website ur browsing. If u browse malaysian website no problem. Some US websites also seems ok but most are slow like hell.

it also depends on the time you surf.. peak hours will be very very very slow. but off peak ours its like normal.. thats y i normally surf off peak hours.. lol..

you guys are lucky, in hk here we cant log in into any overseas website for 1 week...cant even make container booking with our logistic supplier and cant get shipment approval from US for 1 week...damn pissed off

now in my office i still cant log in to yahoo mail..they said out of the 7 cables connected HK, 6 were severely damaged...

It's improved quite a bit. So far, the speed is acceptable although not as good as previously.

your parent may have installed tmnet xfilter in your PC ....
