no, not neons lights. neon lights aren't as bright. they are just smaller diameter fluoroscent lights. can be found in most lightning stores. go around phone shops in lowyat n you will see them using it =)

i used 9 ballasts by the way :D

anyway i did mine yesterday, partially done. have to complete the wiring and mounting and the switch of course. maybe sell of this one to my younger bro.i want the colors one. my ride is the lennox black gen2. i think red would look better.. i think laa.

anyway youmolo, whats the power and volts used for the smaller ones? i did come accross it 2-3 days ago at jalan pasar but couldnt care less.

same as a florescent tube. just use an ordinary 12v ballase and it will work. no, not gila, just obsessed with undercarriage lights :)

no, not at all. just make sure you don't leave the lights on when you park your car and switch off your engine, else you'll end up with a flat battery. I wired mine in a way so that the key must be at the "on" position before the lights can be switched on.

wah lau. any chance for you to teach how to diy that thing? i dont think i have to use relay right? the key just works like a switch right? a few pictures i think i would expect myself to understand.

my female friends love it. its a black gen2 with pink underlights. i know i have weird taste. ah beng maa.. wut to do.

theres quite a few example of its practicality in everydays routine. for me, before stepping out of the car (i came back around 1-2 am everynite), i have to make sure that there is no taik kucing laying around or maybe a puddle of mud. believe me it happened before.

last time i stepped on a dogs poop on the way to an ATM machine. after my transaction, i drove off. a few minutes later, the smell starts kicking in. turned to my passengers seat and asked youngest bro, "keluar kereta tak?" (yeah.. blame the youngest). in the end i noticed i was me. the floor... my God. i threw the standard carpets right away. starting that day, i plan to put at least a bright LED near my pedals. now since u guys started posting bits and pieces here, it all came together and finally makes sense. i sallute zth community for being such honourable enthusiast and for not keeping everything to yourself.

khguan. im no racist. it doesnt concerns me malay or chinese or indian, my gf is chinese anyway and i do understand when people starts talking shit behind my back. modify can... just no too much la. otherwise itll end up like royal london circus. stickers every where, bulu everywhere, lights everywhere.. haih.. pening.

chinese = ah beng, ricer (chinese car modder are called RICER in mat salleh countries cos they eat rice :D)
malay = mat rempit (rite?)
indian = (duno yet)

sorry i don't have pictures with me now since i don't have my car here. it's back in kuching by the way.. i got the wire from the cigaratte lighter socket. my car's cigaratte lighter only works after the ignition is turned on. So what i did was i spliced a wire out from the +ve and just wired it to my ballasts. you should put a switch and a fuse in between la in order to switch it on and off and for safety reasons.

hahah i find that kids love it a lot. they will just keep staring at it when you stop beside them at the traffic lights. wow... black with pink neons... haven't seen such combination before. any pictures :D

i'm a chinese, but i don't mod cars so much till i become a ricer. mainly on peformance. the undercarriage lights are just for show :cool:

yeah.. didnt quite work out with most of my malay ex. in the end its always me and my disgrace. this girl... will propose to her sooner or later. it depends on my workload. i wouldnt want to be engaged for a year then get married. a bit too long right? if im getting married, definitely will invite all zth member. would be very awesome with cool moded cars in the parking area.. hehehe.

anyway, mat rempit is for motorcyclist. becoz their motor sounded more like a trumpet than an exhaust you know.. treeeeeeeeeeeet..treeeeett. and also what we call it bingit. i guess, 'mat rempit naik pangkat' is what we usually describe for those who upgraded from motor to car or owns a car but moded way beyond the limits. these guys should also consider the safety of the public. pedal on the floor without taking into consideration, taman perumahan, going to office, close to school. i speed also, but at the right time la, say 2-3 am? when there's no one on the road, or road wide enough to elak people.

Gothic? i would put it as punk rocker ;) yess kids love it. my standard 2 brother love its. he always asked me to switch on the undercar lite when i fetch him to/from taekwondo practice. its broad daylight laa adik.. no one will see.

de wire from de cigi lighter is only for de relay control of de headlights... it is not directly to de headlights... dun be mistaken... else u will burn the fuse connecting to de cigi lighter..

ohh ok.. standard relay comes with 5 legs. which leg to which wire?

need to use relay arr? just do a direct connection to your ballast and see if your cigaratte lighter fuse can handle it. if not, put a bigger fuse into it, should do just fine :)

n also avoid de power cables to de amp going close to de cables for de tubes...

no the amps are in the trunk..

will check the power cables to the amps later. that could be the problem.
