DIY - Install Vacuum Meter

hi friggles.. u the sarawakian? hmmm https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif alt='laugh.gif' /> u can only get 0psi reading easily when your engine is underload.. meaning.. at certain gear and throttle ler... on a stand still cannot get 0psi ler... btw... the best vacuum source would be from the intake manifold...

Hi! I got the meter, thanks! I recommend this seller!
The problem is that i dont really know where is the intake manifold. Ok, so now i know that it's not that often i get a 0psi reading.

I drove my car today for the first time. And i noticed that if i accelerate from standstill, my reading would be like around 6psi, and then slowly it'll drop back to er...10psi maybe, around that. Question: Does the vacuum meter slowly goes back to a higher level even when u keep the same level of pressure on the pedal?? Like when u're crusing, or when u're accelerating? Or does the meter follows exactly the pressure on the pedal, meaning no matter what, how hard u step on the accelerator, the meter reading will hold.

Thanks!

Yupz.. the things u say seems normal to me :) when u step on your gas pedal (full throttle) from standstill u'll get 0psi for a while.. if say u step on the throttle at 50% constant.. ur pressure will drop around 10psi.. and it will stay there.

From my observation...it won't raise unless u let go the gas pedal lo...if u got steady leg hold on the gas pedal...u won't see the vacuum meter move a lot one lo...

ftzone..what u mean underload??in what situation?? if rev high enough surely the vacuum will drop rapidly to zero ler

Regarding to the a/c compressor kick-in.. i observed a drop of 3 in.Hg or 1.5 psi.

Phiew!! spent 3 hours under the hot sun... some 'plumbing', wiring, simple tools...

mounted on the dash board using heavy-duty transparent vinyl double-sided tape.
