Carburetor Section

not sure bout drop in filter.....i think is much more better compare with open port...

im only using stock air filter and cai....duwan too free flow...
 
well, i know my car barely reaches 300 KM's in town + Highway driving, but the maxed i reached on a full tank(RM62-64) was 360KM, which i did only on highway and a lil jam road. plus the whole day was cool. like today, i oni manage to get around 120KM of my half tank cause i drove in hot weather.

alwiz liked driving at night compared to driving in the morning.

comparing open pod and stock box, ill go open pod. why? cause i get better high rev's compared to stock box. feels kinda ristrictive when im using stock box. plus, the open pod sounds better too =)

btw, increasing your wheels also increases your FC, why i said so? cause more weight is added to the tranny and it takes more torque to turn it thus higher FC, also nothing other factors like wider tires = more traction + friction = higher FC or bigger diameter of alloy rims = more energy to move the wheel = higher FC

well, i hope i didnt confused anyone here tho =)

btw, the IDF is the webber with square intake right? or is that the DGV? darn, im confused (@.@)
 
turbonetics ... u using stock box + CAI ?? how u do ur CAI ?? can giv some tips and ideas ??

Density of air scales inversely with temperature if pressure is a constant.

so, densed air means densed oxygen also...thus, cold air higher density for better combustion ..cold air i mean is at night time or raining time..not those extreme cold ...

Me tinks it has been done before....Not ice la but dry ice in dry ice in special compartment just surrounding the snorkel.... Apparently it works. Read it somewhere.

Basic science. The Carb Crazy American tuners now using a system called CRYO2. This is a system that looks like a Nitrous system but instead of injecting laughing gas into combustion chamber, it sprays carbon dioxide gas into a metal sleeve attached to the snorkel. It cools the ambient air before it enters the carb.

Apparently, this contraption, with a 6 second burst brings tempretures down 2 degrees. This essentially means a 20% H/P gain.

Anyone heard this here?
 
unker fred.... i can see that ur extractor is a custom made 1 ar...... mind share some experience?? cause my exhaust foreman says since i'm running with DCNF... it is better that i use a bigger diameter extractor...

gavan, the square intake 1 is dgv or dgav... is a progressive carburettor.... idf is something like a dcoe.... but downdraft 1.... plz correct me if anything wrong...
 
xtasym: i use vacuum hose to connect the stock air filter....like iswara or wira's air filter...end of it there is a hole....i connect the vacuum hose to the hole...
 
same with u loh unker fred.... hehe... so how? any comment on customized extractor... ??? btw, i just cut away my bullet and sambung with pipe... any comment???

ermm... my uncle u custom something at the intake... he make a hole using a hose from windscreen washer tank connect to the carb there and make a switch to control the water... jus very very little water into the carb... it give a bit power and better FC... hope u guys understand wat i trying to tell... = )

means now u direct keluar kahhh??? now bising mehhh??? i tried many times till jian hang see my face also sien d!! ahahahhahahah :p put 2 laa, then cut put 1 then cut all no bullet... da best is still with 1 bullet!
 
unker fred... how about the extractor thingy? the spec i get is 41mm for the outlet from engine... then the connecting part is 45mm.... is a 421 system lar...

er.... ok lar.. not very noisy... but when high rev quite noisy inside.... the mech told me dont put those twist here n there de bullet o... just use those straight go out 1....
any comment??

sif000 Uncle Fred u r rite u need a bullet at least for back preasure make sure u select the right bullet like me now :cry_smile: since wrong bullet high rev not smooth :X-:
