Can BT 20V use RON95?

just from my experience:
- running ron 95 - ok for daily ride
- but high revving 20v result: less power

test run - to reach 160kmh from 120kmh feel very lousy (not to mention climbing little hill)

To me... with the current economic situation, it's not a time for car modding unless you're well off. In some countries, their highest ron is 92 but yet they still drive their 20v there with it with no problems.. just retard a bit the distributor. With the price increase of fuel, a lot of people are feeling the burden... in the market, most businesses are not doing well & the govt choose to increase the fuel price at this troubled time... genius.
I feel no difference with ron95 on my 20v... I just drive max 110km/h & dont rev past 3000rpm. I can be on par or overtake most other 1.3-1.6 cars with a light footed 2000-3000rpm gear change on every gear. You really dont need to drive like a sakai & there is not enough road for you to speed anyway in Klang Valley city driving. I drive according to the money in my pocket & not according to my lust in performance & speed.
If you are an extreme enthusiast & want everything right & perfect for your 20v & at the same time u got a big pocket then its all good. For me, $2.05 per litre would come out to an extra meal a day for every fill.... sigh.

Silvertop - 10.5:1
Blacktop - 11:1

Then found out some info on Honda Malaysia page , stated "The new RON95 fuel is compatible with all Honda models except for Civic Type R, of which RON97 is recommended."

Search the page and found out this :

Civic 1.8 - 10.5:1 (RON 95 Compatible)
Civic 2.0 - 9.6:1 (bore lebih besar dari 1.8 ) (RON 95 Compatible)
Civic Type R 11.7:1 (RON 97 Recommended)

update: pumped a full tank of ron 95 on an almost empty tank...so far no issues...still mnage to rev but slightly sluggish on the pick up

I've pumped a tank full up to fuel filling cap of RON95 right from near empty at Rawang Northbound RSA and cost me about RM110. Then drive around 130-140km/h to my village in KEDAH, near Thailand border and refilled again with RON95 up to fuel cap. The distance was 420km. The fuel only cost me about RM53.34. No knocking or what so ever even with 3 persons and a trunk full of bags, barang raya. FYI.. my Blacktop 20V engine was overhauled about two months ago, ported and polished, crank balancing, use thicker metal head gasket (1.2mm). Very puas hati laa... like new engine.

Bro I didnt quite understand your post. You mean you pumped RM110 at Rawang then until reach Kedah you refilled again full tank (another RM110 or refill RM50?) So you mean Rawang to Kedah only used up about half tank? :hmmmm:

Meaning RM50-60 can travel 400km? Thats amazing! About 14km/l!

Also, why would you use thicker metal head gasket for NA engine? Usually thick MGH is used on NA engine if only when running hi-comp piston or skimmed head. Otherwise, thicker MGH is suited for turbo application.

Whats wrong with 14km/L? I can achieve that during highway travel also
