Buying a used car direct from owner

My experience selling to direct buyer.
1- Make appt to view and check the car. He ask for 3 days to think about it. but, finally he bought it.
2- 2nd meet. am prepare the simple agreement acknowledge the details of such transaction ie: buyer name and address, ic number, contact and bit details regarding the car.
3- Both parties sign the document, buyer hand over payment and i gave him key.
4- our deal name transfer should be done less than 7 days. i ask him to inform me once the puspakom paper ready then only i went to JPJ for thumb verification.
5- inform the buyer he can done a transfer. after a week i follow up with JPJ to ensure buyer done his part.
6- may done a cover report in addition.
