Greetings Gentlement,

I am so glad to given a chanceto join this forum because i see there is so many helpful and professional information shared and advises given by all of the generous and kind forum members here. i am facing some dillemma here and i need your opinion and advise on this because i am still very young and i have no experience in this.

Currently i a, driving a 1997 year 1.3cc Prton Satria. Due to a accident happened in year 2007 which caused my ori 1.3cc engine gone, my brother has asked his friend to fit in another 1.3cc engine without engine ap form to reduce the repair cost.(Hope you can understand what is engine form) and i continued to drive it without any problem until i find out that my car roof has been rusted and pop up the bubbles. Besides, the unsatisfaction of under power of 1.3 cc satria (4g13) also caused me decided to change to a new car.

Below is my choice dillemma, hope you can give me some advise or maybe you can suggest another solution to me =)

p/s:
i still have 10 months installment to go in order to clear my installment which is rm390 per month

1. Continue with my current car:stupid:
-------------------------------
Repair the rusted and bubbled roof and respray the whole car -Cost around Rm2500
Replace another legal 4g13 with AP form - Cost around Rm1000

2. Repair my old car and sell it then clear the loan and use the balance for new car down payment
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Repair the rusted and bubbled roof and respray the whole car -Cost around Rm2500
Replace another legal 4g13 with AP form - Cost around Rm1000
Sell the repaired and new painted car -get back Rm9000 (Estimated)
Clear the loan -Rm3900 for car loan settlement
Buy new car

3. Just go for Goverment RM5000 rebate for purchase P1/P2 by scrap old car:bawling:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clear Car loan by my own -Rm3900 for car loan settlement
Bring my car to Puspakom to verify roadtax
buy new p1/p2 car with rm5000 rebate for scrap my satria

Besides, i also wish to know for those has been send their car to puspakom for scrap verification for Rm5000 p1/p2 car rebate. Did the test involve engine number verification?

Please give me your advise because i really need it. I dont wan to regret of what i did in future.
your kind feedback is very imporntant for me and i believe it can let me think further and wider.
Thank You all.....:burnout:

u may repair yr roof and respray yr car - under rm2000, juz pm me if u really decided to do it. Excise paper and other documents for endorsement will cost you about rm800.00 all in.
if u decided to change to another engine, it will cost u rm1000 for engine and another rm500-rm600 for the endorsement.

2. Repair my old car and sell it then clear the loan and use the balance for new car down payment
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Repair the rusted and bubbled roof and respray the whole car -Cost around Rm2500 as above
Replace another legal 4g13 with AP form - Cost around Rm1000 as explained above
Sell the repaired and new painted car -get back Rm9000 (Estimated) selling by yr own, maybe can fetch this price
Clear the loan -Rm3900 for car loan settlement
Buy new car

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clear Car loan by my own -Rm3900 for car loan settlement
Bring my car to Puspakom to verify roadtax
buy new p1/p2 car with rm5000 rebate for scrap my satria

to qualify for the "scrap program" by proton, there are few criteria u need to take note:
1) the car must be owned by you for at least 6months, if its parent's car, then provide birth cert as prove
2) u must clear from "bankrupcy & not blacklisted of any kind"
3) all summons must clear
4) car in running condition
5) puspakom inspection with approved B2, meaning the engine no must tally to reg card, the chassis is not tempered and "sambung" and its road worthy.

in view of the above conditions, yr car doesnt meet no.5 condition, so its not able to proceed with "scrap condition" ....................so if u do the endorsement, then u can proceed...

Besides, i also wish to know for those has been send their car to puspakom for scrap verification for Rm5000 p1/p2 car rebate. Did the test involve engine number verification?

hope can help a little

EvolutionZ, Thank You for your reply. I have PMed you regarding this and hope to get your reply soon :proud:

Btw, among these choices. Which is your recommend way? can you stated the reason which make you to select that choice? Thanks :burnout:

i think the best is to sell off the car. get the $$$ and buy new car....i can recommend if u want.

Mate, it will be difficult for you to sell your car if your new engine transplant does not have AP papers. That means when you send for inspection with Puspakom, it will fail. So better not do the engine transplant. I would suggest that you sell your car generally as the overall cost you spend for the car will be worth more than your ride bro...... So sell it and get a new one.

hie Fairlady350, i think you have misunderstand my statement.
Currently the 1.3 4g13 engine running in my car is without the AP form because the workshop didnt send the form to me until now. I am planning to get in another engine with AP form.

Btw, EvolutionZ mentioned he got another way to solve this is by doing a document endorsement to legalise my existing engine.

Probably i only need rm800 to make my car legal for sale then it will be the end story.
Provided tht bro EvolutionZ can settle it for me. Hopefully..
