anyone using streamyx Basic 1Mb?

anyone out there using Streamyx Basic 1mb? i hav just got mine about 2 weeks ago n ive realise that it is not up to its speed. i know although it stated 1mb/s but i know i wont get 1mb. but the question is that im only getting 406kb/s. ive checked this through a speedtest for adsl on some website. n sometimes i dwld things, its only 40-55kb/s. anyone has this problem? or any other software to speed up things.? ;)

mine was slow during the 1st few dayz..
after slowly become faster n faster...
now can easily reach 100kB/s

i off my firewall and open all my router's port....

Boost .. for your info .. even if u take 2MB like me also the same.. 1MB or 2MB means for TMNet to supply u maximum bandwidth like that .. to get exactly 1MB or 2MB per secs .. im sorry .. it depends on the server speed that can seed u also.. its very hard to get higher download ratio .. 1MB means not exactly .. if will be up and down ..

even if u try microsoft.com downloads u will get 50 - 60kb/per secs .. ;)

i know i wont b geting the full 100% 1mb/ sec....but at least i was hoping for 50-60% of 1mb but this is worst than tt.. u guys think if i call up Tmnet will help? mayb not..:(

nope.. they cant .. i tried few times ..

my online overseas friends at home using either T1 or T3 lines .. but malaysian broadband havoc .. only use 2mb max!!!! ... stupids...

1Mbps usually you will get about 90KB/s (720kbps) +/- for the download.
Try download a big files from ftp.tm.net.my
and speed test at : http://202.188.95.52:8080/speedometer/

If your download speed is half of what you pay. Call TMnet hotline and lodge a report, so that the tech people can solve it for u.

I am also facing the same problem as u. Package confirm upgraded to 1Mbps but the download speed is the same as 512kbps package. The tech staff stop by my house with his little gadget that can report the speed of the line that i am using & it shows 1024kbps / 384kbps on the LCD. I show him the bandwidth speed test & file downloads on PC i can get 50% of 1Mbps. Lastly he found out it's the telekom cable problem have to wait for 2 months to get it replace.

call the TMNET hotline to check the speed. Maybe ur speed haven't config yet . Maybe it still default setting .

or to make it easy, call the ppl who pasang ur streamyx and ask him to check for u (easier and faster than calling the tmnet)

or just pm me.

Obviously you need to bombard TMnet for this.
i'm using 512kbps line, and i'm getting 45-50kb download speed.
