another engine problem...please help...

hi fellow forummers, i have n enquiry i wld like 2 ask on behalf of a friend of mine...u see he drives around in a wira vr4...until recently he is facing dis problem n i hope d sifus in here can offer any suggestions/opinions/advices or even troubleshoot dis particular problem...

his car, at start up...during idle...idling a bit unstable n at times engine stall...wats d problem?

get tb clean or ISC spoiled....common problem

or one vacuum hose leak or 'tercabut'

thnks kenny...anyway,just 2 let u all know dat his car is equipped wiz SAFC...so any ideas whether this item can detect leaks or something??

try checking the safc setting?

thnks dudes....i will let him know....cld it b anything else apart from air fuel ratio "lari"??coz s far s i know he told me d idling not unstable like go up n down..dis i understand is caused by d ISC...he told me d problem is d idling just goes unstable a bit aka slight drop then engine stall....

Check the fuel filter ah.. see if its need replacement or not... or check the trottle body... i'm just giving suggestions... not sure if that could be the fault

ohya..forgot to tell..

my fren satria evo2 wit safc oso like tat...the mech tok out the safc and change the ISC..now fine oledi..din use safc

oh ok kenny...but isnt dat like saying its partly due 2 d SAFC dat d problem is like dat???

dino: ok...i told him 2 check d throttle body...according 2 him d mech said all is fine...will let him know about d fuel filter tho..,
