Altezza FAQ

Looking for Altezza..

Buying second hand Altezza

There are many more in the forum, but if you can't find any answers to your questions, feel free to post back here. :) Happy searching.

Thanks guys, i hardly come online but when i need some good advise this is the place for me to look for answer. Yes i should have look and search before asking the same question again and again. But now i have seen some altezza and opt for another car is camry. i like altezza but car is a lil old. some say engine gives a lil prob. on the other hand is camry. big and family car. if anyone of you can help me on the fuel consumption would be very kind of you. Thanks!

An Altezza and a Camry, it's like an apple and orange bro. Camry is a full out comfort full sized sedan, Altezza is a sport compact sedan. If you're looking for fun in the Camry, look elsewhere.

Engine gives a lil prob? Such as? As i know, the 3SGE engine is quite a tough little nut. Look wise i would still prefer the looks of an Altezza than a Camry.. Camry, too common. But, it's still personal preference. But, a Camry and an Altezza is in a waaaayy different league altogether.

Like what AE111_SEG and I have posted above, you should really take a look at the 'Altezza FAQ'. Everything is there. But just to shed some light for you, a full tank will last you abour 450-500km, all depends on how heavy is your right foot.

Hehehe...thanks buddy. Yes its a different league. And yes camry is way too common. I honestly still deciding whether to change my car to Altezza. Why not let grab a drink sometimes and chit chat when you have time? PM me your contacts?

Why not just give AE111_SEG a PM and pass him your number? He's our database guy here. :)

the matter of fact is...the altezza IS an old car.
manufactured in 1998 till 2005(i think)

so if you are worried about spare parts n engine problems, then the best piece of mind is the camry...brand new n hassle free.

bear in mind, the altezza now is a very driver-selective car. Since its soo old now, sometimes its not the cheap price thats the deciding factor. What I mean by selective is...the ppl who buys it wants something else from it. Purely for modding purposes

for a family based man, the camry or accord is still the best choice.

disclosure: I own a 2000yr rs200 altezza.

bushidofang,

Both places. Travelling up and down every month. So if you need anything let me know.

Mr. Green
I'm currently driving e280 1997. And yes maintenance is a killer when everything starts to fail on you. Repairing the merz is kiinda costly but things that you change will last for sometimes before changing. My thought was getting another car and keep the merz for weekend car. Can't get a good price after doing some repairs and upgrades. Last year alone changed 8 pcs tires coz of Famous Malaysian pot holes.

chrizz,
bushido need some 'supplies' for his shop located at far-away land.hehe..(jk)
"Last year alone changed 8 pcs tires coz of Famous Malaysian pot holes."
maybe u need a tough 4x4 !
and... i personally agreed with "What I mean by selective is...the ppl who buys it wants something else from it"... ;p

Hehehe...coz i'm using 20" and 30 series. Sick Sick...

Yea...need something else to drive. Altezza sounds good but what are the good mods?

Your car? Send me some pics!!!

Oh you want the good mods? Let's start the poison rain then. :P

You have tons. Even if auto Altezza mod parts are harder to find than manual parts, it's still good nonetheless.

You can change the air filter, exhaust, headers first. Then move on to suspension, brakes and then something we like to call force induction if that's your cuppa tea :P
