u will need bandpass only if u want to do a 3way active setup (no passives), not bcoz u dont have midbass. no midbass but u have a midrange u still need the bandpass if u want to go active. however if youre going to use passives u just need the 2way type like what u have now lah, no worries.

i think ur 3-way xover is really 3-way. There must be a switch for you to be able to change the highpass into bandpass.

band = range
so a band pass is a range of freq. that u want to use. Usually there is two knobs for adjusting the lower cut off point and upper cut off point.
check for this.

if u can upload a pic, maybe me or others can help u to set it.
