hi all,

just want to ask ur suggestion regarding 4g63 stock engine want to upgrade to best performance but still can use on the road.

can u all share what is the best "recipe" for 4G63 evo3.

now my car jemrod already so donow want to upgrade or still use stock item (blur2) :banghead: ..hahaha.... :adore: :adore:
 
its all up to u bro..if u wanna upgrade..then go ahead..if jz wanna maintain stock engine..also ok..coz evos engine's performance in stock is alredy enuf..

if can ask ur self what u wan, then plan and take the right way..and neva look back..cheers..
 
depends on $.. 500hp oso can be daily car.. recipe? :listen: strong bottom, gud fuel system, tough drivetrain, big turbo, management..
 
just get ori tonka banana, turbosmart wastegate, ori ssqv 4 from japan, full ss piping for intercooler, air intake etc...
skyline GTR intercooler....thats enuf....
thats for stage 1 le....

if u want stage 2 or 3 i can list for u....depending on yr budget.
 
my suggestion

1. 3 puck clutch
2. decent BOV
3. upboost to about 1bar
4. decent piggyback
 
guys if i wanna upgrade to 2.2L should i buy stroker from 4D68 right?

if i use crank and rod from 4d68 at my stnded block can hold the power or not?? and 1 more thing if i use fairlady piston it's strong enuf for street use?

advise pliz..
 
Standard block shouldn't be any problem for using 4d68 conrod.
Regard fair lady piston, no problem for street use, just that the compression is low,
Mine car had used quite sometimes..no issue. Well, ppl now suggest using 2j piston, cos higher compression.
Sifu, any recommendations for piston choice ? Tq

Whp u wish to achieve.

Sifu situ, I have a question, with these setup, the highest boost we can go and not harm the engine?

Stock evo2 head, block
Fairlady 87mm piston
4d68 conrod
ACL racing main bearing

The current compression is about 10psi / 150 (sorry that I am not sure about the unit,
Pls correct me if I am wrong )
 
my current mods :

1. Evo 3 with 2.3L tomei stroker Kit
2. Power Division Balance Shaft Kit
3. Fluidamper crank pulley
4. Power Enterprise Kevlar timing belt
5. 70mm throtle body wit stock throtle manifold (port n polish to 70mm to match d setup)
6. oversized 1mm valves + port n polish head
7. Power division S2 camshaft + valve spring set
8. Uprated HLA Pressure Regulator
9. Mines Ecu + M7 em-com piggyback
10. HKS Racing blow off valve
11. Trust Turbo inlet pipe
12. HKS intercooler and intake piping

chassis etc:
- front and rear subframe fitted with racetech C.A.K 12pcs
- front and rear Endless brake pad with uprated disc rotor
- APP Brake braided hose + AP Racing brake fluid
- Braided clutch hose + AP Racing Fluid
- Race Tech Brake Stopper
- Evo 3 full set AWD Drivetrain/axle
- Cusco front and rear upper strut bar
- HKS Catback + FGK Downpipe with cusco exhaust rubber

havent install and buy is

1.clutch
2.turbo(currently got td06-24g with 7cm2 housing...seems not enuf i think)

Planning to :

- install surge tank with additional fuel pump
- Superpro rear differential n frame bushes
- DSS uprated propeller shaft

doing this car slowly at shop now, hopefully it will be fine/fun to drive

my target 400-500hp

any good turbo to recommended bro? since 2.3L power range max is about 7000rpm only....so gotta find a correct turbo for this. talked to speedspin...he recommended me garrett TO4E stage 3..im still thinking

2.3L can rev higher than 4g64 2.4L although stroke same because lighter shortskirt piston used for 2.3L

Hehe turbo ah, adoi I guess speedspin recommendation should be better
My choice for nonballbearing would be a Garrett 60-1 Stage III turbine wheel, hehe i think he has a billet wheel for it too :P
