318i Problem

I have a 318i but lately its been giving me a bit of trouble. I think its the fuel injection but not too sure. Its like when i am driving the car and suddenly the car starts slowing down as if theres no more fuel going through the engine anymore. After a few secs than it goes back to normal again. Anyone had any problem like this? Any help appreciated

ermm.. i had the exact same prob... but my car aint a bimmer.

mine was due to tuning... din change any parts... initially i also tot itz either fuel injection, or ignition, or fuel pump.

send to mechanic.. he din do much.. only tweak on the fuel mixture settings... voila.. done... mysteriously.

hi there,

i also drive 318i M40, bugged with the prob some time ago. retuned my idling and then a bit of adjustment to the accelerator cable, whoa its gone!!

but if it's too serious, pls check knock sensor or cam sensor.

thanks for the info fabian... btw... do you know where i can find pic of conversion from clutch fan to electrical fan on e30?..i've been searching but just could not find them... i know i saw em... but just could not recall where...

mine is E30 M40..i've a prob of loosing engine oil..no leaking and no white smoke on the normal driving...but if the car is stationed for about 20-30 minutes,the white smoke will come out...whats that ar???
