250ps vs 280ps (how to confirm)

May I know how can we tell if the engine of the FD is the 250ps or 280ps unit by looking at it without test drive? This is because the owner of this FD claims that he has a 280ps unit installed but I don't know if he is telling the truth?

By the way, how many rotary engine type are there for FD? I heard there are version this and that, 20B and etc. Can educate me a bit please?

280 model harness comes with 3 sockets as well as a "Y"pipe close to air intake. Also look for a small black box close to intake manifold.

13B-REW engine has series as follow (based on type R manual):

S1 (12/91~) type 255, 8 bit ECU, R12 gas, 4.1 final gear (AT is 3.9)
S2 (08/93~) type 255, 8 bit ECU, R134a gas, 4.1,
S3 (03/95~) type 255, 8 bit ECU, R134a, 4.1, Large Disc Rotor,
S4 (01/96~) type 265, 16 bit ECU, R134a, 4.3 Final gear, LDR,
S5 (12/98~) type 280, 16 bit ECU, R134a, 4.3, LDR,
S6 (09/00~) type 280, 16 bit ECU, R134a, 4.3, LDR,
S6 Sprit R (03/02~) type 280, 16 bit, R134a, 4.3, LDR,

20B not available in FD.

Socket harness 3 head or 4 head?

that is 4 head 1.....then the part number is N3A7..

you can tell by many ways. like rerider has said 3 connectors. another way is by looking at abs, ignitor, engine number, oil injector o ring, turbo's.
