Should I replace perdana?

4k RPM is fine enough for cruising. My Wira already exceeded 4k RPM even before 160. Sound is quite loud too especially wind noise. Tried before 140, stability is still ok but noise is loud. Before engine mounting change, noise is even louder from engine.

The bigger the displacement the easier to cruise at high speed.....:driver:
 
My perdperd not much noise from engine..less noise from road due to using federal soft/semi performance tyre..

Big displacement is one thing..I guess the v configuration also help to smoothen the engine..compared to inline 4..

Anyway got an offer for evo3 with goodies swap with my current engine + gearbox..hmm tempting

Yeah, V6 engine is known for their smoothness during cruising. This is where their benefit comes in despite the higher maintenance.

Sounds a bit too good for a deal. Giving the more expensive 4G63T evo 3 engine for your normal 6A12?

Top up around 8k..without overhaul would be 5k top up..internal are not stock.. oversize piston etc..

Won't be fun to cruise but fun to boost..hahaha

Quite a lot of money to top up. But does it include installation labor fees?

If you always do long distance high speed cruising, maybe you should stick with your V6.

Yup.. including labour fees..and puspakom inspection etc..

Even 6a12tt cost 9k..just for half cut alone..so might as well ebo engine..can be pv6 sleeper though..install bracket for awd :love:

Not expensive. If buy half cut will cost around there also and still need to service it first....

If you are doing it, better not risk your car with AWD conversion. Because if you are caught, JPJ will confiscate your whole car.

My dream car is WRX STI too.

e36 added to the list as i'm able to get it from family members.

RWD : e36
AWD : sti.

priority on sti. impreze convert to sti, theres a number of em found in stock condition.:bawling:

Anyway, such kind of converted Perdana AWD won't really be as a good as a true AWD like Evo or STI.

Impreza convert STI? From what? If standard 1.6 Impreza to STI, don't bother... If WRX convert to STI, maybe still ok if the price is low...

The WRX is more comfortable.....but of course STi more powerful.....lol
 
Yup, from owner friends. STi one offered to me, but not ready to buy so sold. WRX also sold change to Evo X....:driver:

If you change STI, become even higher level of grandmaster. :adore: Both are 2nd gen Impreza body? Ver 7-9
 
Yup, STi was Bug eye, not sure of the WRX dy.....:driver:
STi low end was very good, 6 speed MT and love the boxer sound....

Bug eye is quite old. Around 15 years old now... Other than the weird look, it is a good car.

If I ask you to compare between STI and Evo, you will pick STI?

No chance drive Evo, but seems maintenance for Scooby is higher....lol
