the glass itself is dark screen
they will remove the glass and replace with clear glass for inspection, once passed they will replace it back with the ori dark screen

Hi guys, couple of questions about the DC5's privacy glass.

Is it just a layer of dark tint on regular glass or is the glass itself black? I was told by the car dealer that during puspakom inspection, they will remove it to pass the test, so am I to guess that it's the former?
In that case, when removing the tint, will it have any effects on the demister/radio antenna?
Does it also mean that when we do window tinting, the 3 rear windows don't have to be tinted?

Lastly, does JPJ give you guys any trouble over it?

for puspakom inspection, car dealers need to replace the privacy glass with clear ones because the privacy glass will never pass inspection. they will put the privacy glass back after that. just make sure there are no leaks when you collect the car.

if you are looking for proper sun/heat protection you will need to still tint the rear windows. privacy glass is not "tinted", its just a colored glass, so it does not repel UV rays or heat.

however, if its just for looks, then by all means leave those windows out to save cost.

i have never had any issues with JPJ yet *touch wood*
