ST 150 & AT 151 Corona

But back to the mounting:

[....] I could buy a Toyota Manual for the AT151 [...] and will check, what Toyota is saying about the mounting.

Ooops, am I in trouble???

Update:
Got the "Toyota Repair Manual for Chassis and Body Corona & Carina II (36233E)", yesterday.
mmmmh, the picture is showing the mounting, the arrow is pointing to the front:

That much to the saying, that the other position should be the original one!
To me, it looks now, that I should change it to the front!
Looking at the pic from the LE80: Can it be, that the position followed the available material, b/c the strut brace needed the bolt there??

Btw: does anyone in the forum here is having the Engine Manual 36230E for the 2A/3A/4A Engines?
Didn't find that, till now!

Btw, take a look at the pic of Kamal and Anuar under the brolly.. Looks like they have got some mysterious aura around them

Yeah... somehow all those photo increases the exposure where there's a face in the object. Perhaps some face detection exposure enhancement feature on the camera?

Yeah, the Daihatsu Charade "Aura".

The pix were quite badly taken with an outdated compact camera only, so it had to be enhanced further manually in order to see their faces. I actually tried to apply "Fair & Lovely"on them but didn't work la...

to ragerunner, so sorry we couldn't catch up b4 u left to india... but all the best in ur studies and when u come back.. i'll make sure at least we meet up..

AT 151 Corona tachometer not working!

:adore: I need another help, my wise masters!
My tachometer didn't work, so I checked today the wires: It is not having the connections, that it should be!

In my Toyota Corona manual stands for RHD with tachometer:

A1 (-)
A2 (+)
A3 ignition coil (-)

Beside, that there is no wire to A1 in the plug:
A1 and A2 are ending without a conductor path on the flex-rigid PCB. :hmmmm:
A3 is ending without a srew!
Can anyone tell me something about this, please?? I added 2 pictures!

Thank you very much

Ooops, I forgot something in my question:

I'm guessing, at time, cause I need to find a option, to check the instrument cluster with all plugs connected. (wires're a bit short!)

The Manual says:
A1 and B9 are connected and ground. So I think, cause everything else is working, the ground connection for the tacho will be ok, without a wire on A1. (Is it the screw in pic 2, between the two empty screw connectors?)

A2 is the plus for the tacho. Maybe the second screw (below the 'meter' of yazaki < meter ) will be that one?

And A3 is going to the left missing screw. That leads me to think, that it is the ignition coil minus for the tach

:hmmmm:
Or the 'existing' screw will be the plus, the missing one on the right the minus.

I think, I will be able, to check that, 2morrow. But in case, anyone is having more information about it:

PLEASE!!!

Thank you, 师傅 !!:adore:

Ok, I metered a bit, found the + and the - like I thought, and the - from the coil is available, also.
Result:
Looks like, the tachometer is kaput!

sorry i haven't opened my mail lately to check updates...
but normally the tachometer has a very small circuit attached to the needle.. on in is a couple of resistors and capacitors... check and replace which is faulty... should solve the problem...

Thanks for the advice, I haven't disassembled the unit, yet.
If I can't find another solution, I will do it next weekend!
:hmmmm:

Guys, if i may, just wana ask a broad input for a hypothetical situation hehe...

if i remember correctly, the 1S Carb uses an auto-choke right? and it senses temp using water sample from 2 pipes which flows water from the main water pipes/assembly into the carb it self... :hmmmm:

Would it be ok to remove those small pipes (and plug them of course) and tune the carb to lean out the mixture (since it thinks its always cold and always enriches the feul-air) ?

Assume that the auto-choke is misbehaving and replacing it is not an option
