Hi ya'all...
when it comes to a majority of road users wanting sports seats in their cars to replace the stock OEM ones, or bucket seats, comfort is a factor for most of them when deciding what type or brand of sports seats to buy because they're not racetrack drivers & dont run their cars on racetracks all the time,if at all, they take their respective cars out on the racetrack a couple of times a year whereby one can use the fingers on just one hand to count the number of times one goes to the racetrack, hence the factor of comfort comes into considerations when the intention or craving for sports seats beckons. they want sports seats because they want seats that not only look good & add value and beauty to the cars aesthetics, but seats that can hold them in it when driving fast or attempting and undertaking high speed manouvers. stock seats or OEM seats in most cars do not hold drivers or passengers in their seats when the driver is undertaking or attempting a high speed manouver. Unless offcourse the car comes with reclineable semi-bucket seats like the Mitsubishi lancer Evos, Subaru Impezas etc. Comfort is a deciding factor because most road users driving original or converted performance machines who opt to install sports seats use these cars of theirs as daily rides and do not have the luxury of a spare or extra car to use daily, whereby their performance enduced road machine are weekend cars for fun or for a dose of adrenaline.sscus seats have somewhat done the next to impossible task of bridging the gap between seats that have both grip and hold on its occupant while maintaining an acceptable level of comfort. but to my scarce knowledge, sscus seats achieve this with occupants or passengers that are on the plus size, with most average sized people, sscus seats lose out to other sports seats manufacturers like Recaro, sparco, bride, omp, crazee racing, cobra etc when it comes to holding and gripping the body of a seat occupant in place when the car is driven fast through its paces or attempting high speed manouvers around bends and corners.
