hey guys i just went to a tyre shop and asked about suitable and decent tyres for my ride..i'm using 13 inches tyre for your information...then the guy recommended yokohama..price is rm110 for one tyre...the v-groove type..is it a good deal or is he ripping me off? need your opinion guys...

you should state the model. then we'll be able to see whether its a good deal or not. try googling for yokohama tyres and do a research.

i think it's this type:

u sure? LS4 isn't officially in malaysia ler if i'm not mistaken, its design and made in the US.

here are models available in malaysia according to yokohama:

even if it is the real aegis ls4, the price is abit too cheap lar compare to the price sold in US, where it is very popular for being competitively priced. i bought my sumitomo for a price higher than those sold in the US too...

aegis ls4 if convert from usd should be rm150 something, but then me pretty much a noob in trade, so i dunno about the import duty and tax thingy on whatever product..

weikhee86,

i'm not sure what model tires you were qouted, but i used RM150 tires (after discount from friend's shop) Yokohamas for my 13" rims (Kancil)

and they rock!

i said "and they rock!"

means it's really good in dry, wet and braking.

Yokohama is good shit la wey, i agree with stanley ... Coz im using yokohama also hahahahaa! But i THINK it might wear off faster than other tires?

ic...how long does ur yokohama lasts? any idea? i mean under extreme driving condition with lots of sudden braking and acceleration...

ftz also like that? i never try ftz before, but i was driving my dad's iswara using the stock 175/70/13. it was raining and i just drive off the traffic light.. and there i was, rev to no more than 2.5k rpm and let go of the clutch (moderately, not direct let go.. but not too slow either) and there i was skidding on the line.

my mom's car change to continental tire, same size, no such prob. thats why i say scared to use silverstone lor.

the only silverstone that can fit my rim is the STV racing, the only one readily available without having to find it first. 185/60/13

although it say "racing" the tauke at tire shop there tell me that "its only standard tire lar.. cannot play one", and ask me go chop shop find better rim and come back he got better tire for me.

btw my rim is 13x6.5jj, 0 offset i think.. not very sure cuz not stated.
