walau potential for 7age hybrid..........hehehhehee, but no money now.

dude, when i ask my mech to overhaul and port polish the 7afe, he says that the new piston is forged. How do i verufy this is true or not?

Most experienced mechanic can tell by just looking at it. Forged items will have no narrow casting mark - as with most toyotas internal parts - they are forged from factory like 4A-GEs Crankshaft and Rods. Not sure about 7A/4A-FE.

None Toyota stock pistons are forged!

Especially the pistons, they are simply casted out a better material call hyperutectics and with coating on top of them.

Forged stuff has a smoother finishing!

Ross Piston laugh at me last time because I mention that the Toyota supplying forged pistons for stock 4age.

I m not sure about the con-rods and crankshafts. By seeing it quality and also comparing with other forged con-rod and also forged crankshaft in the market. I dont think that they are forged either.

Especially the blacktop con-rod, I saw a few blacktop con-rod being snap. I can say that they are not forged.

diu.. benjamin, it snapped not bcoz it's not forged.. it's bcoz u drove it to 26,000 rpm

hahahaha funny la you blackie...yup forged does not mean that they are unbreakable hahahaha

Then all the experts around the world must be lying then - telling us 4A-GE rods and crankshaft all forged one hahahaha

Yes! forged parts are also breakable.

When the forged con-rod breaks, they are different from casted parts.

I m still waitting for my friends 3sgte Tom's forged con-rod to come back. He broke them with 2.6 bar. By then i can tell if the Toyota con-rod are forged or not.

I can tell that the Toyota pistons are not forged. Basically forged pistons are very strong material and they have very thick walls than the cast pistons have. The few basic chracteristic of a forged pistons is when you start the engine when it is cold, you will get alot of white smoke. It is because the expenditure rate of the forged pistons are very high and they also need alot of clearance on the cylinder for the forged pistons to expand when it is hot.

The second characteristic is when the engine is in high RPM or high boost, running very lean. The forged pistons will just melt away like a alluminium rather than cast pistons where they break into pieces.

That is all I can say for stock Toyota pistons.

errrr .. sifooos .. my car oso quite alot of white smoke when cold start in cold weather one worrrr ... forged aaahh my whatever ??? hehehehee .. either that or my engine hailatt liauuu lorrrr ...

alan: dat's bcoz u wanked and cum into the engine itself...

wweeiiii brain .. dont tell so loud laaa .. i just wanna test the sifoos in here only maaa .. huahahahahahaahahaa

Yup. Wat u see is wat u get. As far as i know (wat my mech told me), if can be fitted on GZE, 4AGE and FE gearbox even the auto one.
