WTA: Ford TX3 4-Pot Caliper Brakes Upgrade

what is cost for upgrade to 4 pot? how about rear one? 2pot? and how much?

i bought the RX7 rotors and calipers for quite a high price, close to 500 bucks because it so rare to find really good conditioned ones.. had to use credit card first due to cash payment of my recent accident. it's currently at the machine shop along my 4 lug knuckles to make custom bracket and rotor PCD drilling. this is only for front... i've yet to hear of people upgrading the back though...

will update you guys on the progress of the brakes upgrade, it's currently going pretty slow coz the machine shop i sent to is busy...

Nice bro, please post some pictures after you are done, including the brackets as well bro.

Very nice project...

hey people,

my brake mods are done! but it cost me a BOMB! haha... this is because i got the best of everything la..

1)custom made spacers with center cone (expensive but for safety)
2)custom drilled knuckles (for locking spacers tight - no vibrations) (expensive but for safety)
3)new wheel bearings, enforced brackets
4)reconditioned RX7 FC3S calipers and rotors (270mm)
5)Endless FC3S brake pads (300 degrees)
6)custom steel braided hoses (front and rear)
7)camber adjustments (wheels have to go -1 for wheel traction adjustment)
8)absorber custom modifications (for improved handling)
9) Total brake fluid Dot 4 (had to bleed the brakes and replace the fluid)
10) Brake pump mods (i have to check the receipt to remember exactly what i did)
11)rear wheel spacers 1 inch

i added 1 inch spacers to the rear wheels to balance out the look on the front and rear wheels.

take note that the wheels will be 1 inch further out than stock after these upgrades.

TOTAL Spent on Upgrade = 3.1k

will update the pics later when I figure out how to upload pics to zth... maybe i'll just post the link to my blog later when i include the details.

RESULT? FANTASTIC BRAKING! I have no problems slowing down the car at high speeds, with endless pads, the brakes sound like airplane landing when i engage it... but it's not loud.
