Hmmmm....... with RM20K, i'll go for full rebuilt process for my 4G63T again with either Haltech E6X or Microtech standalone engine mgmt system. Let's see what plans i've in mind now:

-> Standalone engine mgmt system (Haltech or Microtech)
-> Bigger mm forged pistons & rebuilt
-> Custom-match ratio gearbox with good set of clutch
-> Ballbearing turbine with custom-made exhaust header
-> HID 12,000K lighting system
-> Simple ICE setup
-> Full interior conversion to JDM specs

That's all that i can think of for my car IF i have RM20K in hand rite now. Dont shoot me ar Patrick since u said IF only. Heheheheehe......... :D

P/S: I think RM20K is merely enough for the above kua? Need to top-up a bit. :)

Fix every little kink here and there on the Waja.
Replace things that need to be replaced (driveshaft)
fix all the damn windows :p
adjustable suspensions
new rims (but same kind and colour)
1 set of front SSCUS (budget a bit mar, not like waja can go fast without engine transplant :p) seats
reupholster interior in leather
momo steering wheel.
new interior door panels for front doors (they're abit worn liao :p)
remove old bodykit replace with new ones (of the same kind)
replace rubbers linings on the outside (this one not so important la)
lastly, repaint to white :D

honestly though, i'd just get rid of the damn thing and buy an R3 :P 20k d/p should mean that my loan would go very fine and repayment easier :)

custom banana, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler+piping, wastegate, engine rebuild,
microtech LT10s, vazmaz setting, bodykit, top secret GT wing, trade in my rim and get a set of 17 inchers......job done.....still got balance about 1.5 - 2 k...can do interior...

i believe that a dogbox is a gearbox with straight cut gears, not helical like a normal gearbox...they are used for racing

Actually, the "dog" in dogbox does not refer to the gears at all, but the the shifting mechanism. You can have a dogbox without straight cut gears. And you you can have a straight cut gearbox with synchronizers.
Production car gearboxes have helical cut gears to keep them quiet. The constant mesh and thrust of the helical cut design keeps the gears quiet but they generally not as strong as straight cut gears and do not transmit torque as efficiently. Straight cut teeth are ususally bigger but there is backlash and the teeth knocking together produce the distinctive gear whine. Gear profile has a lot to do with how much noise there is, some straight cut gearsets are not that noisy at all.

Production gearboxes also use synchronizers to provide smooth, quiet shifting. The synchro's job is to "grab" the gear when you are shifting and match it to the same speed as the driven shaft to provide a smooth silent shift with no grinding. This happens as you move the lever into the gate for that particular gear.
The trouble with synchros is they slow down the shifting process and they have little teeth which aren't so strong compared to the mysterious "dogs". The engaging teeth on the gears are equally small so you could potentially strip all the little synchro engaging teeth (you can also call them dog teeth) off the gear and have no more drive in that gear even though all the gear teeth are in perfect condition!

A dogshift box does without the synchronizers. Instead you have 6 or 8 big dog "teeth" on the gear. On the shift slider you may have a corresponding number of "slots" that the dogs fit into. The are other designs as well. When you shift since there is no synchro to make the gear speeds match you have to match revs with a blip of the throttle for a smooth shift. But that's not necessarily accurate, really, because you can crash it right in. That's why they are also known as "crashboxes". The clutch is not required when shifting. When accelerating a quick, partial lift of the throttle will do. When downshifting a blip of the throttle to match revs will ensure a smooth shift. A dogbox will shift as fast as you can move the gear lever! No waiting for synchros. When you try to shift slowly is when you are most likely to grind a dogbox! When driving around on the street I will usually use the clutch but in competition the clutch is only for starts. One advantage is being able to downshift in a corner without the clutch while left foot braking.
Also, the dog mechanisms don't take up as much room as synchros so a wider gear can be fitted.

The dogs will allow you to slam through the gears without using the clutch. One thing of note that I don't think has been mentioned, however, is that just like synchros the dogs do wear. The less you intentionally abuse the tranny the longer they will last. Dog 'boxes are merely stronger, not invincible.

that the only think i can say..correct me if im wrong...anyone can add..

great writeup! and just a note to that. if you dont know how to use a dog box dont bother it'll just slow your time if you dont know how to shift the gears in properly. and yeah, stright cut gears sounds really loud esp. s/c dropgears and s/c final diffs. you wouldnt want to drive something like that daily.

20K ??? :D

(showing red tails and horn with a fork...all in red) :D

throw my saga into WRC motorsports, strip every metal sheets on the chassis until it is naked. rebuilt the whole chassis, seam weld the fella, chromoly half cage. rewire the car with bare essentials. 2 FIA approved buckets.

engine? rebuilt already. turbine? ball bearing got already. needed a wastegate, larger intercooler and aluminium pipings. twin plate clutch. standalone management to replace my piggyback. need to install power steering and twin plate clutch with custom 4WD gearbox ratio.

titan adjustables front and rear.

HID for the headlights. normal ones will do.

wait a minute...you guys sure wondering how come this saga have adjustables front and back, and need 4WD gearbox....

hehehehhehe.. :D

EVO rear axles, propshaft and diff. custom fitted with rear fuel tank changed to fuel cell tank.

there you go. if i got 20k, this is what i want to do. calculated, i need to fork out extra 5Ks to complete my project.

my aim?

AUTOCROSS!!! :D

..... don't have money - difficult...
some money - 80x difficult.... a lot of things to think....
a lot of money - sure can sleep well.....

Titan's Fully Adjustables - 3k
Custom made Turbo - 5k
Standalone ECU - 5k
Spoon Rims - 3k
Rear Disc Brakes conversion - 2k
A set of Defi meters - 2k

Total = 20k.
