What is your Top Speed?

c160 has a higher final drive then c56, just that the ratio is lower.... on c160,4th gear 8000rpm is 165kmh, 5th gear can tarik until 210 already... 6th gear haven try, coz still got speed cut.. muahahaha.....

Gear Ratios :

Years built--------1995.5-1997.3-----------1997.4 - 2000.7

transmission code-------C56----------------------- C160

1st --------------------3.166-----------------------3.166
2nd--------------------1.904 --------------------- 2.050
3rd---------------------1.392----------------------1.481
4th---------------------1.031----------------------1.166
5th --------------------0.815 ----------------------0.916
6th -------------------------------------------------0.725
Reverse----------------3.250----------------------3.250
Final Drive-------------4.312----------------------4.529

on highway, 160kmh is like cruising only.. coz only at 4500rpm...

never regret paying 1.5k extra for 6 speed during conversion...

Bump: opps.. forgot to mention, 1 mile = 1.6 km, so all the figures times 1.6, can get in kmh already

Ah.. I think I understand dy..

the final drive ratio is slightly higher..
But because got 6 speeds, the ratio is closer in between gears..

Nice info guys.. Salute you all.:adore:

So anyways.. a little bit general info.
according to Gran Turismo.. (haha... I like play game ok)
higher final drive ratio always gives higher top speed..
low gear ratio gives better acceleration but lowers the top speed.
Correct right?

Blackie..... your car can go beyond that speed BUT..... due to excess weight..... errr.... enough said.....

BlackHowling sure boh your car slow..
2J impossible slow la...

i'm now dealing with a erratic speedometer which likes to wobble and it only happens about 50% of the time. could it be due to faulty VSS sensor? did you have this problem as well when your speedo was faulty?
