Aiseh, just started a similar thread

Engine- Fuchs Silkolene Pro S
Gearbox oil - planning to use Redline Shockproof Heavy
Transfer case oil - planning to use Fuchs ATF 4400
Diff oil - planning to use Silkolene Syntran 5

Currently:

Engine oil- Motul Competition 300V 15W50
Gearbox oil - Motul Gear 300 75W90
Transfer case oil - Motul ATF 1A
Diff oil - Motul Gear Competition 75W140 + Torco Limited Slip Friction Modifier

Planning to change my engine oil this week, any good oil recommend? Is the oil above good enough or have any better choice?

Same as what you have except my engine oil is Motul 300V LeMans 20W60

just got my fluids delivered yesterday...

And also a PM from a member here about Motul prices:
WOAH! Motul fluids are EXPENSIVE!

Bro gobiz, Motul is expensive in Malaysia. Guess fat margins for the disti?

Maybe I should do a quick groupbuy from over here...

Opie Oils over here always have great discounts... for example last time I bought Silkolene Pro S for £45 for 5L including doorstep delivery.

Hello gobiz,

Lucky for you...
in here, MOTUL taxation very high + our currency not so strong (compare to u)
Marginal also small for the dealer...

At the moment MOTUL product suitable for my use...

Hi mate, by using motul, so far so good, but I wonder if there is any better one? Have heard some ppl said torco oil is better and provide more Hp compare to motul. Anyway, I just did my service last few days, I still stick back to motul~ hehehe:-)

All engine oils are equally good. The effectiveness of it and the ability to extract the full benefits/potential of the oil depends on the technique of pouring oil into the engine. :banghead:

Here ya go, this is an example on a motorcycle but same technique can be applied onto cars as well.

Are you a dealer?
No lar, nothing to do with currency...even after convert to RM, prices in Msia still almost 2x more expensive.

Also I don't believe it's due to taxation since I also pay import duty here and 17.5% on top for VAT.

Maybe dealers should source Motul products elsewhere than Japan?

are u planning to bring back a few bottles? hehe....currently planning to use syntium 15w50 fully synthetic

---------- Post added at 09:34 PM ---------- 6 hour anti-bump limit - Previous post was at 08:44 PM ----------

According to threds in UK and Australia, the R34 GETRAG gearbox requires the use of synthetic ATF similar to the Toyota Supra's GETRAG which uses Toyota V160 oil......is this true fellow BNR34 brothers?

wah how come you all use the good stuffs? I only use castrol super synthetic in engine, the rest all motul coz i tried the expensive brand eg:motul 300v and not much difference and its so painful to buy 5 liters just to discart it after 5k km. Castrol on the other hand cheap cheap, cannot even tell the difference frm motul.
