hello to all skyline owners.im malaysian n' working at Malaysian Embassy in almaty, kazakhstan. I just bought used nissan skyline GTS 25 Type S auto year 94. Actually im quite new for this car. So i hope u guys can help me about this things:

a) What should i change for this car..i mean like oil filter, air filter and etc;

b) im gonna change the coolant by myself, so is it the same like proton wira

c) where can i get the owner manual for this car, i mean at web site etc...

appriciate so much for the help

'proud 2 be of nissan skyline'

bye.

hey dude.. this is what i did for my 33 and now for my Cefiro:

oil - Mobil 1 every 5000kms
oil filter - original Nissan / Ryco every 5000kms
NGK plugs BCPR6ES - every 10,000kms
fuel filter - Ryco every 20,000kms
coolant - about 20,000kms

*it is my firm belief that with turbo cars maintenance is VERY VERY important so my servicing might appear to be very frequent but I do most of it at home so it cuts down the cost a lot. Mechanically, if you can service a Proton Wira, I'm sure you can manage a Skyline easily, its not overly difficult and pretty soon becomes second nature. I dont drive much anyways, about 10-15kms a day. In my 33, i drove 25,000kms in the 3 years i owned it.

*timing belt should be done when you're close to 100,000kms along with oil pump, water pump etc..

*owner manual or workshop manual? workshop manual you can download on one of the threads here. another resource that i found very helpful was http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums of which i am one of the moderators there.

omg.. who is tht

hahah just realized who it was..

yeah, some f00 took "funkymonkey", so I couldn't use that nick on here too (like I do on all the millions of other forums I'm on).

Should get em on there, share a thing or too about 1JZ ceffies :D

hey.. i never said it was driven by a belt.. ;)

anyways, just add a bit more of useless info :p

the oil pump is located on the front of the engine but on the bottom end and is driven by the crank.. to change this, the engine basically has to come out as you would need to seperat the oil pan from the block(?)..

what we did with my car was because its got an RB20 from an R32 and not an RB20 from a Ceffy (slight differences - Shan? anyone?) we got all the belts as well as oil, water pump, new gaskets etc..

maybe 100,000ks is a bit of an exaggeration but most 32/Cefiros are 15 yrs old and I dont want to chance it.. I've had friends with 95 GTRs have engines fail cause of oil pumps so yeah it does happen so if you have the money, do everything once but do it right..

for those interested.. here's a section from the manual

thanks for the info...so thats where the cheeky bugger is..LOLOL

So you reckon I should change my oil pump now since my old 32 is reaching 100,000km ?

no need to change la
sell the car to me cheap cheap la

LOLOLOLOL..looking at what I have to spend just to 'maintain' it ..I might just sell it off :)
