What amp for Type R comps?

since your budget is quite healthy, try to look for italian amps like Audio Systtem, Steg or Audison. these amps are warm sounding, to lessen the sharpness of the type R tweeters. i wonder why u didnt allocate more of the budget to better spekers like the type X. they are quite good and not sharp at all..

I bought the Type R quite a while back and hooked it up to Alpine MRP-f240 (which was given free by my bro). At that time, I did not think about spending much on ICE.

Strangely, I dont think that the sound is very sharp. Is it because of my cheapo amp?

probly coz the older alpine amps are very low in power, but good la if u think its not sharp, wont be a problem for u choosing amps then...

in that case get a Phd 4075, it suit just nice!
