Fellow air treker, my stock standard air trek water temp always 88-93c during normal drive...even night time also. Is it normal for air trek?

does it fluctuate until 100 or remain constant 88-93?may due to dirty radiator, spoilt termostat, fan not running normally, fried head gasket...

100 only whn during very hot weather, normally goes till 96 thn back to 90. I c, think shld be fried head gasket...so normal drive water temp shoud be around 83-85?

I don't have a water temp meter in my Airtrek but my rx8 hovers around 93-101c during traffic jam and around 85c on highway. Anything below 100c is ok. Just not over 105c.

try flushing ur radiator to remove dirt n rust..if problem persist then change 68c termostat(normal is 85c) to enable water flow into engine earlier from radiator.

My airtrek runs at about 93 with only 1 fan. You can change the temp at which your fans turn on in your rom. Mine runs at 100% all the time.

My Normal Temperature is within 82-86 normal driving, extreme hot weather 93. With aftermarket radiator+low temp thermostat+good coolant. Stock fans with tweak at rom for fan speed. Done at DOM, USJ 1.

jtreker..if u use evo front mount fan, even under extreme hot weather also will remain below 90.

Standard airtrek temp is around 90-95degrees.(with constant boost it may go up to 100degrees),
Mod with full speed fan it will hover around 82-86degrees.(standard thermostat).

Noted, will change thermostat 1st. If cant solve only mod fan...tq

There is another way to keep your engine cool. Try these methods and proven effective for me. In fact, the aircond felt cooler during really hot afternoons. Thanks to brother James3399 for this useful tip.

Lift up your hood. Yes, it does look a bit Beng but it helps. I inserted 2 2mm washers and DO NOT GO TOO HIGH. See the mark on the edge? It'll scrap against the fender if I lifted too much. This only happens when you open/close the hood.

Remove the rubber strip on top of the firewall. Some say water will gush in but it's okay for me. I don't think there's a big problem. Without the rubber strip, more air can flow OUT of the engine bay and when moving, hot air expel a lot.

The gap is pretty big for hot air to escape. Even on idling during rainy days, I get mist on the windscreen. Means hot air is going away... cooler aircond and I am sure lower engine temp too.

Try out these cheap and effective method to improve cooling. Probably I should put it up as a seperate thread to share with everyone.
