Hi guys,

need some help here. due to the fact that i spun out during track day, tyre is the one to be the root cause. Cheap Silverstone FTZ tyres are crapppp.

i need help here to provide a list of tyres that you all used and found good result during track day or normal drive. and i'm changing them.....

please help to provide as below

1. tyre brand
2. tyre model
3. thread wear
4. price range
5. where you bought them ?

i don't have those FR rims... 8 inch front 9 inch rear..

i'm using all 4 same size...

planning to use either 225/45 R17 or 235/45 R17. or maybe 40 or 45 for profile.

1. Yokohama
2. Advan Neova AD07
3. Soft compound, excellent in the dry. No problems on road and track.
4. 225/45 18" RM700~
5. Tire shop in Sunway, near N1 (look for Yokohama signage), owner's name is Andy.

still cheaper than michelin pilot premacy....
i asked some shops nearby.. they give me around 900 per pcs.

Look for Bridgestone RE01-R. Read some good things about it online.

lol thats general knowledge :P RE01-R

im a fan of S-02 PP tires, and also Toyo Proxes T1-R.

I can vouch for S-02s, used them before. Know nothing about Toyos, how are they?

1. Continental
2. Sport Contact2
3. Execellant dry & wet.... had new tyres to the track...minimal wear
4. 235/18/40 RM900 255/18/35 RM1200
5. Penang

thanks.... Advan Neova and Conti are super expensive... Advan still okay... i checked and the price is 590 per piece... for my size... as for sprots contact... wow... it's same price as Pirelli P-Zero Rossa... the ones used for lamborghini and porsche.

in the end.... i put in Toyo Proxes TR-1... priced at 460 per piece... reasonable... very good grip... very good in wet and quiet... plus comfortable... hope it's worth the money......
