the cc, the technology, the head works, the halfcut price..hehehe.. i guess ur question is very subjective..

well.. sometimes u cant trust this medias too much... evendough how much info i get from the net.. it seems to make all the facts blur for me.. like this person says this but the other person says that for instance some ppl say that the rb26 is much more hardcore than the rb30 which in real life fact says that if u have a bigger displacement u normally have the more hardcore edge compared to a lower cced engine... just some curiousity here.. so dont mind i am just asking... wanna know more.. =):biggrin:

Just forget those RB30, they are suits for PPl who think like Commodore fans~haha....messy job and only available at OZ/NZ....after moded u hard to close ur own car bonnet,kekeke...ask Dato [PIMPIN] he more expert on that.

You've got a point there buddy! Well said.

Hint: Between the 26 and 30, it's the block issue (although OS-Giken has come out with something in-between) ...

Now, go google it!

The are pro and con in both engine RB26 and RB30 but the pro are more in RB26, that why they say RB26 are more hardcore.

waht about hybrid a rb30 bottom and rb26 top with twin turbo?
anyplace to do that in malaysia?

That's what normally RB30 are done ... Some with RB25, or RB26 top. The best is OS, RB26 bottom with extension sleeve and top-deck ... That you get the cc's, RB26 strength block, and 26 top .... But heard it's around USD30k ... :listen:

RB30 is actually a SOHC and that's why people put a RB25 or RB26 head on it.

You can learn more about the RB30 if you could find the documentation of a guy who did his RB30 in Australia if not mistaken, just google it. His web was like green or blue. Included info of the no. of teeth of the timing belt you need if you were to swap the head with RB26 head.

And I remember I have seen OS-Giken has a kit to make a mighty RB31. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

thx a lot of the info guys i will try look up more... anymore info on this topic i really would like to know more.. =)

Actually, the RB30 block you could buy brand new for several hundred AUD which given the current rate is fk all. BUT, its from the VL Commodores of the late '80s and is very very different from the ones OS Giken sells.

Anyways, since the Yen is fkd up I think it's about time people consider DownUnder. Check out these guys who do complete engines or bottom ends or whatever you fancy. Some UK GTR owners even ship they're cars down to NZ, get it modded and shipped back.
