Hello guys.
I have a 2 channel amp running a 12" sub and i've had it for about 2 yrs now. Lately, the sub's been behaving strangely. It emits this "dub, dub" sound whenever i change track on the CD and whenever i turn the HU off/on.
Now,it's getting even worser...everytime i travel on uneven roads with bumps i can hear the sub go "dub dub dub"...
Any idea why? Wiring? Amp? THanks in advance.

Check your RCA from HU to amp, speaker wire from Amp to Sub, loose connection inbetween.

my guess its the cables from the subs to the amp. But its hard to tell from here.

i recall last time that one of my subs did not play as it suppose to be and thought my subs are broken. took out everything, the subs amp wires to check, finnally i saw the -ve cables from the subs and amp are loose. talk about 1 1/2 hours effort wasted cause i did not check the cables first.

Yeah,i'm checking all of the cables at the moment, trying to do some troubleshooting first. What i found out was if i tap on the "filter" screw/knob with a screwdriver the sub emits the "dub dub" sound. Sounds like a surge of something if you get what i mean.

...after inspecting all of the cables and the HU,i managed to "minimized" the noise. I was satisfied because i could barely hear the noise unlike the day before. Then, i took my car for a drive just to see whether the problem will come back again.

...after like 15 mins i thought all was going well, then while travelling along this uneven road: "dub dub"...HU and the clock went dead`! Huh?
